  1. Curious how much it could make if they do a full blown re-release. It's the Nolan film with the most cult following and has gained more love since the initial release.
  2. Nolan's movies get random re-releases all the time in IMAX theatres anyways. Places in Asia like Hong Kong has like TDK trilogy marathon, Nolan marathon, LOTR marathon all the time.
  3. The trailer for The Sympathizer looks really promising. I am looking forward to it already.
  4. Universal China posted that they are going to rerelease it but don't know how big of a scale it is, probably won't bring too much box office.
  5. I honestly still thinking that 1B is only reachable in a future re-release, but I would be happy to be proved wrong.
  6. Overall I thought it was a pretty decent ceremony. I didn't think it was too long either. There were times when I wanted a break because I was so nervous for Oppenheimer but the pacing is so fast lol
  7. 16 years as a Nolan fan. This is the moment I have been waiting for!!! It's a great year to be a Nolan fan!
  8. I think he's just enjoying retirement right now and occasionally making good money from a few commercials.
  9. The camera man definitely pans to him a lot when Cillian wins lol I only watch Oppenheimer award speeches and his reaction always shows up, way more than any of the other nominees.
  10. Because Robert Pattinson is actually a good actor and chose good projects after Twilight.
  11. She sounds like an entitled brat. She only has her blunt and straightforward personality because she's a nepo baby and won't worry about risking her career when she says things like that. It's not like she's getting abused on set or anything. She chose this project because of the money lol
  12. I mean it's not like Oppenheimer did way more campaigning than other movies. It's also making up for the release press tour which was cut short because of the SAG strike. Oppenheimer does get more publicity because of the big names and also because of the mainstream popularity. Bradley Cooper did a shit ton of interviews which kind of backfired. Paul Giamatti was everywhere, including that In & Out semi-viral moment. Scorsese and Lily did a lot of campaigning too. She's always in the news. Apple also have all the money and resources at their disposal. KOTFM just wasn't that popular of a movie.
  13. For a movie about the father of the atomic bomb that takes place during WWII, the negative discourse is pretty minimal. It managed to not offend most of the countries involved.
  14. You should ask Jackie Chan and Angelina Jolie what's it like to work with such a majestic creature! Pandas are the superstars of China right now!
  15. I mean, the academy doesn't love Nolan that much. Most of the Oscars his movies won were technical, like sound, cinematography, editing and VFX. The only acting win was Heath Ledger I think. As a fan since The Dark Knight, I have been waiting for his BP and BD win since forever. If you visit the nolanfans forum you would know that everyone's surprised at how dominant Oppenheimer is because we are all used to disappointment lol But anyways, not a big fan of Cooper's style aside from Rocket the Racoon. Please don't cast him Papa Nolan. He would have better luck with acting nomination/win in a Scorsese movie I think lol
  16. On another note, if Brokeback Mountain was released in recently years, it wouldn't have been snubbed. Still bitter about it.
  17. Between two Stones, Emma's my favourite but I agree, she really doesn't need another Oscar win.
  18. Forever confused why it's a comedy.
  19. He said he's interested in horror movies. I am definitely looking forward to that, even though I can't really handle scary movies lol might be the first scary movie I am willing to go willingly and not cover my eyes.
