"Hundred Regiments" is a CCP propaganda film...not getting good WOM, but selling out thanks to a government directive forcing work units to buy group tickets.

Mixed WOM. weekdays dropped 20% per day and no Friday bump, not good holds.  May be up 60-70% today though, but now a new release, Hundred Regiments, looks like great WOM, is going to beat it with just 10% of showtimes vs T5s 29%.

MH rebounding yesterday and today after Thursdays hit. May do 10.5m today up from 4.8m yesterday and 3.5m Thursday. FF7 total still locked, was shaky there for a bit

Tickets sold at Gewara are too low so i don't believe Hundred Regiments numbers.

Yeah, the numbers rolling in yesterday and today seemed off. Wait for actuals on that one

T5 mite come in up 90-100% with pace its on, 68-74m. I thought it mite bump huge with the strength the evenings displayed.

Just like AOU where we thought upper $200m's, then low 200s, then mid 200s as the first few dailies rolled in. This has gone from maybe 900m down to 700m,and now well into the 800s is back in play

FF7 only 4months holding.

Amazing jump. It didn't get a theater expansion. They must have done a marketing push a la Disney. Today is going to bump over last Sunday. Very rare feat in China

I wonder if they'll push TMK as well to get to 1B. Next weekend would be the time to do it.

How are you thinking that? Not seeing marketing or seems off compared to presales? Or the big bump is just outright suspicious?

Some theaters scheduled 40-50 showtimes yesterday and every showing was sold out.
