That usually happens, particularly coming off a huge holiday weekend. Being flat is not impossible though if the WOM is excellent enough. However imagine it stays flat, based on my OW prediction: 240m + 240m + 100m + 40m ... = 620m or $100m with new exchange rate. A bit too good to be true. More like: 240m + 230m + 90m (very unpredictable for now) + 30m ... = 590m, still good enough. Question is, will 240m ow happen .... Another suspense is, which movie will win weekly 4.14~4.20 ? Cap on 3rd week, Rio 2nd week or Transcendance opening weekend. The three should be quite close one to each but the edge is more towards Rio I think. Many have it something like that. If Monday is not a holiday (holiday Monday > two ordinary first Mondays), 200m 2nd week would be a stretch. Big three in May: ASM2 ----- 5/4 Godzilla ----- 5/16 Coming Home / (Zhang Yimou's Return) ------ 5/27 Smart decision by Le Vision. They and Legendary East basically traded the dates with each other. In this way, Godzilla has day and date release while Coming Home can fully enjoy Duanwu holiday. On the other hand, horrible news for ASM2 ... only 12 days easing run with just one free weekend. Meanwhile, Bona and Fanbingbing's Wuxia film The White Haired Witch of Lunar Kingdom, formerly slated on April 25, has moved again, to July 25th. Le Vision's action comedy Old Boy: The Way of The Dragan moved to June. Now the May holiday line up only has: Iceman 3D (4.25, Le Vision), My Old Classmate (4.25, Enlight),The Great Hypnotist (Wanda, 4.29). Donnie Yen and Wang Baoqiang starring 3D superhero tentpole Iceman will dominate the Labor holidays. The Golden Era was canceled from 5.1 to somewhere after the Cannes. The Duanwu holiday (5.31·6.2) line up now will see: Coming Home (5.27, Le Vision) VS Overheard (5.30, Bona). Both are 400m+ films. 2014 is a very strong year for Le Vision and Bona, good for Enlight and very poor for Huayi.
