With biggest Hollywood release, Prometheus, canceled by Sarft, June looks could not match last year. Band of Misfits 80M yuan $12.7M Mirror Mirror 80M yuan $12.5M This Means War 60M yuan $10M Athena 20M yuan $3.5M Source: Mtime Overall box office in June of 2011 increased more than 130%, even the second half of June was in the protection month of last summer. If the growth of overall box office in June of 2012 could be negative, I won't be surprised. Free competition is too far away for China's film market.
