Speaking of How big TA2 will be in China.

On douban.com, 6,240 votes want to see TMNT, identical to GOTG/TASM2,

but there are already 24,420 votes for TA2 six month before release!

 

So you voted 24.420, smooth, keep it up bro :)

 

No serious, that is great. I hope it reaches more then 100.000 votes.

Do you know how many votes the previous hobbit had? Can we expect an increase?

And do you know how much votes TF4 had before release?

Didn't track this before, but Middle Earth movies has a lot of fans in China, so WTS vote are relatively higher.

I'm expecting 65-70m at least for Ninja Turtles, despite the so so presales.

 

Lucy on track for 50m...isnt it? Good.

 

Hercules is clearly the hollywood flop of the year. Maze Runner numbers are mediocre too, will be lucky if pass 20m...

 

I don't know if Hercules is the flop of the year...shouldn't Monuments Men take that crown?

Douban want-to-see votes are simply indications of movie-fans liking trends.

They don't represent the want-to-see index of average audience.

But hobbit 3 will definitely earn more money than previous two.

$100M is out of question.

So 200M seems a good bet. What about 250 or even 300M?

Surprised TASM2 was this low going into its OW, this must sound alarm bells within Sony.  If it gets beat by GOTG in China, tsk tsk tsk...no one could have predicted GOTG to come close to TASM2 a year ago, or that it would lag behind Cap 2 and XM:DOFP.
