One simple way to show why Skyfall is underperforming:CR yearly #8 of 2007 in ChinaQoS yearly #7 of 2008 in ChinaSkyfall looks to finish its run with $60M or so, which definitely wont be enough to put it into the 2013 top 10 chart, most likely somewhere between #10 and #15. the latter end should be more close.

Skyfall daily gross now has been fallen behind TDKR...At least TDKR got plenty diehard Nolan/Bat fans, who went to see TDKR once and once. Skyfall has no diehard fans.

It is really disappointing that Skyfall, despite being a far better film, will only make about 40% of what CZ12 did, at a best case.

Although it hasnt matched other blockbusters, according to mojo it will out gross QOS in just one week. Thats hardly a flop surely, within its franchise its will be a massive increase.

Things dont work like that in fast expanding market like China.

The market capacity has fourfolded since QoS ($20M). So anything less than $80M for Skyfall is underperforming.

As I posted above:

You maynot like to call Skyfall a flop, but it is definitely a disappointment.
