Loki would easily beat Bane though as Loki has superpowers. The problem is that Batman has no superpowers so he had a hard time beating Bane in a man to man fight. If it was Thor vs Bane, the battle be over in 2 seconds. However, the question of who did a better job in thier role..Easily Bane and that is even with really stupid voice.Loki was good and likely the best Marvel villian in a long time...

The problem is you guys overhyped the film soo much and pretty much snobishly dismissed those did not believe in the hype...Frankly people are just serving crow now... And you guys went from reasonable perdictions and then TA blew up and just went beserk with expectations.200 + million opening in 2d??? WTF? It was like this is the year of Batman, it has to be!!!! NO matter what!!!You made the film seem like the 2nd coming of Christ, and it was not. It was a great film but when you make something seem like its going to be soo great when it actually was not that great, people are going to pile up on the film. So I would blame all of this all on trolls and Nolan fans who are to be honest quite snobish sometimes. Nolanites went too crazy with expectations and deserve to be put down for being so crazy. However TDKR is still a great movie and had an a very respectable gross considering certain events, so there is no reason for people to troll the film.

So basically people in this thread hating on the movie are the minority.Btw, 90% of the rotten reviews say its not as good as TDK. Most critics compared it to TDK and didn't think it matched up.Then again, no superhero movie has yet to match TDK in terms of reviews.

To be honest we all knew in the back of our minds that this would not be good as TDK.However many of us thought not only will it match TDK it will exceed it.We set ourselves up for dissapointment no matter what film TDKR was to be honest.

This is exactly what happened.

Yeah some of us so thought this was going to be the year of Batman...When TA did well beyond anyone's expectations everyone increased thier expectations and predictions for TDKR to insane levels. Some of us just thought, Batman must win... no matter what.

I posted in another thread and I post here again. For me the problem of TDKR is not those pointless plot devices. It's the plot itself. The plot was clearly forced out in the way that Nolan felt he HAD TO finish the trilogy by putting Bruce and Gotham into the ULTIMATE danger, aka slaming Bruce down to hell and letting Gotham face the possibility of total devastation. When so many major aspects were already set before the writing, you wouldn't have much freedom to stretch out the story and organize the pieces together well. This is of cause the problem for all the 3rd film that is supposed to be the ending of a trilogy. What made TDK work is that Nolan was in the exactly opposite position. Nolan didnt set himself the limitation as to how the life of Bruce and Gotham should go. The villain had no specific or moral purpose to ruin the city, and he didn't do it under one specific plan. So you can see TDK was a perfection situation for a writer to stretch out his imagination, and that's why the story worked.
