I said Anne would get her Oscar when the trailer premiered.

 

You could already see her performance+the song had captured something truly unique.

 

Got shivers with that trailer.

 

But I don't know if I can take 2h30 of songs in a row with dutch angles.

 

My Oscar ranking until now :

2. Sliver Linings Playbook

3. Django Unchained

4. Life of Pi

5. Argo

 

They are all great great films in such different genres, one of the best Oscar selection in years, easily.

 

Wil see Lincoln and Les Mis soon.

 

Amour and Beasts are disqualified by my own Supreme Court.

You and everyone else. Seriously, everyone was saying it so much since like, June or whenever that whether the movie had been any good or not wouldn't have mattered. Even if it hadn't gotten any other nods she'd still be a contender just based on hype.

The SBC/HBC musical number was horrible. And why must every actor do their thickest cockney accent, even though this takes place in Paris? Tone it down a bit

I dont think I have as big of a problem with the cinematography as most people do. Its alright, but the editing is way too choppy.

I hated them. I know that the characters are fmaboyant to the nth degree but that works on the stage. The Close-up should`ve taken different approach with them. Theyf elt out of place.

You mixed him up with Richard Armitage in The Floppit. That was totally "This is my best profile when I brood due to constipation" performance.
