Ocho Apellidos Vascos, 7.5m admissions, €44.5m ($61.5m), according to www.telecinco.es

7.5 million admissions?  :o  With a 450,000-500,000 last weekend, it can sell another 2 million and beat Avatar as the 2nd most attended ever, just behind Titanic.

My prediction for this weekend:

1. 8AV (3,6M$)

2. Divergent (2,4M$)

3. Pompeii (0,8M$)

4. SpiderMan 2 (0,7M$)

5. Carmina y Amén (0,6M$)

3 to 5 is really difficult to predict cause their really tight

Do you think Divergent will open so high? I have some doubts...

I went to a movie theatre yesterday afternoon and 8AV was sold out again ;-)

We should see a softer drop than last weekend since it was relative to Easter holidays and this one has two holidays days in Madrid. Maybe again over 3 million €. This will be the 8th weekend heading the ranking. And looking at next weekend releases, it will rank first next weekend too. I guess that Godzilla will beat it in 2 weeks. So, it will tie with Avatar with 9 weekends in a row being number 1.

After 8 weekends, Avatar had sold 7.746 million admissions and 8AV should already be over E.T (8,1 million). It can definitely reach 10 million admissions...

So TASM ll above POMPEII. Good.

You got to be kidding me...

POMPEII isn't a movie to compare with it's like a F movie.... Plz don't call that good.

In asia there TASM2 is good, not here.

According to this: http://lumiere.obs.coe.int/web/film_info/?id=8001 Titanic sold 11m tickets, is that the biggest film of all time?

Yes, Titanic is still the king. This is the top 10 all time according Ministry of Culture:

1. Titanic: 11,265,537

2. Avatar: 9,535,306

3. E.T. The Extraterrestrial: 8,144,644

4. Ocho apellidos vascos: 7,600,000 (approx)

5. Doctor Zhivago: 7,257,550

6. Fellowship of the Ring: 7,041,039

7. Star Wars: 6,900,868

8. Return of the King: 6,812,159

9. The Sixth Sense: 6,762,480

10. El Padrecito: 6,595,454

IMO, 8AV will finish second with about 10 million.

I just said it's good because it was third the last time. Now it's back to second. Chill.
