Andrew Davis can direct action

Take Tommy Lee Jones in this, JFK and The Fugitive.  Are there three more diverse performances from any actor, ever?

Eleniak is super hot, great breasts.

Busey is hilarious.

Newman from Fugitive is funny in his brief role.

Copeland from Fugitive is also funny in his brief role.

No mention on Seagal? Boo, as he and Jones make the movie.

One of the Sensei's many masterpieces. Classic shit.

One thing that I always liked about Seagal's movies was that he never was losing a fight and then won with a lucky punch at the end. He always held his own from the start of every fight.

Follow a watch of this up with E.T.  Then prepare for awkwardness.

Yea, Seagal produced all of his films.  He never even struggled in any of his fights because he was an ego-maniac.  Watch all his movies.  Whenever he fought he just kicks the shit out of everyone.  I don't think anyone ever touches him.

So the producer is a movie's top man, overruling all, including the director, writer, editor and all other movie executives. Seagal does get hit, I just think he has more believe fights, most comparable to Arnold In his prime.

Comparable to Arnold?  Yea, not quite dude.  Arnold got the shit kicked out of him in Commando, Red Heat, Running Man, Red Heat and Predator.

Seagal was a headcase but as long as his films made money, no one cared what his demands were.  But as soon as his films started bleeding money for the studios, they kissed him good-bye.  He was supposed to have a much bigger role in Executive Decision.  His demands on that movie got so out of control that they cut his role from "star" to supporting guy who gets killed 15 minutes into the movie.

And yes, a producer is the main person on a film as he pretty much approves everything.  He approves the script, hires the director and everyone else.  So Seagal made sure he never got touched because his ego was out of control.

This was in the streak of movies that were Die Hard somewhere, Die hard on a plane, a train, etc.  This one was Die Hard on a boat :P

But hey I really enjoyed it and I will watch it any time it's on.

B+

I believe it has more to do with the Sensei being an accomplished martial artist. Schwarzenegger is a brawler, whereas the Sensei is a master of the art form, and therefore does not get hit as often as Schwarzenegger does.

Case in point:

Youngsters today wont understand this, but back in the day before the Internet, pornography was hard to come by (pun intended), especially if you were a kid, so scenes like the "birthday cake" scene were Holy Grail type of shit that gave VCRs a real headache.

These are movies, not real life.  Bruce Lee always got hit in movies, it adds to the tension.

I remember reading in an interview that the studio thought Kurt Russell wasn't a big enough star so they brought in Seagal to trick the audience. The interview was with Seagal himself I think
