  1. It certainly seems like bullshit to me.
  2. 1. The Hunger Games2. The Hobbit: AUJ3. The Dark Knight Rises4. The Avengers5. Skyfall6. The Amazing Spider-Man7. Snow White and the Huntsman8. The Bourne Legacy9. Prometheus10. Gravity
  3. I hope when the next GR2 numbers come in they drop from these numbers.
  4. I hope GR2 does really badly when the numbers do come in.
  5. DH2 was easily better than ROTS.DH2: A-ROTS: C+
  6. I wouldn't say that 5M copies sold by the time the first Twilight film opened would indicate explosive interest at that point. It seems like it didn't really lift off until after the film opened. I still can't find total OS sales for THG but they probably would be in a similar ballpark by mid March. This won't be huge OS but I think it can do solid numbers. 240M-250 is attainable IMO.
  7. When Twilight opened back in November 2008 the series had sold 25M copies worldwide. 20M of those copies were sold domestically and only 5M OS yet the OS gross matched the domestic gross. Just for reference.
  8. If people don't really care about choice nine or ten the film only gets 1 or 2 points anyway and it's negligible.
  9. If it's only 9 and ten then that's ok. Or maybe people should just put down 8 films but people putting down 2 films is a joke.
  10. How about this: why don't people put down their most anticipated movies in the real order and be honest about it so we actually have a better idea of what movies people are really anticipating which is the whole point of the thread in the first place...People should put down a list of ten, even if they won't actually see everything, just put down films you are mildy interested in to make up the numbers. It's not that hard. You shouldn't be able to put down one or two films for a 12 month period, nobody will believe you and it just turns the thread into a joke. Films should only reach number 1 if the interest is really there and not because they are being artificially inflated by people putting in obscure choices or only putting down two films to ensure their desired film reaches number 1.If people don't do this properly their votes shouldn't be counted.
  11. Possibly some crazy uber-fans going to see him but that's not the biggest part. The Rock is the main draw here.
  12. We don't know whether the budget is 110M or this newly reported 79M. Secondly a film making less than it's budget domestically isn't generally a great sign of a continuing franchise (Narnia). They get a higher percentage of the grosses domestically. It's not exactly going to be a monster OS. It may do fine depending on what the budget is and what the domestic total ends up being.
  13. With all of these re-releases most of those 850M/900+ movies would make a billion. It doesn't mean much.
  14. It's just that it all started with the first movie of 2012. It didn't just start picking up in March when the bigger films come out, it's as if at the turn of the year movies are "in" again.
