  1. No, I'm done. If anyone has a problem, fucking report me to Shawn.
  2. You like one post and complain about another and it's basically the same thing. You are just being selective.
  3. People here are such hypocrites. I won't discuss John Carter again.
  4. I can't believe I'm being scolded on a fucking box office site for discussing box office tracking.
  5. You are allowed to talk about certain upcoming releases but you have to be careful to discuss the right ones or you are trolling. If they aren't tracking well forget about it.
  6. I mentioned THG in this thread today which isn't directly relevant and yet you liked my post. Hypocritical much?
  7. Am I the prophet of THG too? Most of the time I talk about JC in the JC thread or tracking thread. Most of the time I haven't mentioned it outside of those two threads.
  8. Heaps of people on this site talk every day about The Hunger Games opening weekend because the signs are there for a breakout and big breakouts are big news. I haven't talked about John Carter's opening more than THG. It's about the same or probably more even about THG. It's just with basically no signs pointing to a breakout it's at the other end of the scale. A huge potential breakout or potential bombs are both as big news box office-wide as one another. People in THG thread talk about the opening every single day. That's basically all that's discussed in there. None of the Hunger games fans are called "annoying" for constantly talking about how big they think the film will be because there are signs of a breakout and it's "positive' but if you talk about JC it's "negative" so it's "annoying". Hunger Games fans have basically been saying the same things over and over again and the thread is like a revolving door because it's big news and there isn't much else to talk about. You are allowed to say the same thing over and over if it's positive but not the other way around because that's annoying and it's trolling. Have I bashed the story? Bashed Stanton? Bashed Kitsch? Abused anyone in the threads for supporting the film? The only things I've been negative about are the marketing and the tracking. I'm just talking about the indicators that we have for the films box office performance so far which these forums are supposed to be about. I wouldn't be so negative if the tracking had actually improved but it didn't. I probably say the same stuff because I'm bored and there is little else to say but I've talking heaps about THG (as have many others) all the time and I've never been called annoying for doing that. If people here have double standards then I won't discuss John Carter again.
  9. How is it needless? Other people in this thread have already mentioned JC's numbers for next weekend. The film cost 250M and may not open to even a tenth of that. It could be one of the biggest bombs in a long time. Box office news doesn't get much bigger than that. If you think this is bad you should have seen the people talking about Green Lantern last year.
  10. It may not end up where the tracking indicates, we know it's nowhere near a sure thing, but I'm just saying if it opens very low nobody could say there weren't signs. I'm just being realistic. I never would have thought that after all of the money that Disney have thrown at the marketing that tracking would go down from where it was 2 weeks before. I expected it to jump and now I don't know what to think. The only film it was tracking above was Silent House, it's a week out and it cost more than 250M to make. What do you want me to say? That's it's going to open to 80M and make 1B worldwide? I can if you'd like.
  11. Next week will be interesting. What's John Carter going to do?Tracking for Lorax exploded this week and John Carter actually decreased. Project X looks like it won't make much and yet it was ahead of JC in definite interest (33 to 29). It's numbers could be pretty awful next week and that may calm this 2012 hype down a bit.
  12. I think Hollywood is cloning people and sending them out to see random movies so the industry looks like it's improving. They know the end of the world is coming and they want to make as much $$$ as they can in the meantime.
  13. If this manages to open to 55M, what the hell is THG going to do?
  14. His At World's End, Transformers and Sex and the City reviews are epic.
  15. 1. The Hunger Games2. The Hobbit: AUJ3. The Dark Knight Rises4. The Avengers5. Skyfall6. The Amazing Spider-Man7. Snow White and the Huntsman8. The Bourne Legacy9. Prometheus10. John Carter
  16. That sounds unbelievably disgusting and disturbing. I already knew I wasn't going to watch it before but it's certainly not happening now. The people who watched GR2 are sick, sick people.
  17. DH2 only at this stage. I will probably go a couple of times this year if I can.
  18. When Twilight was released in November 2008 the series had sold 25M copies worldwide, 20M of those were domestically. It only sold 5M overseas and yet the OS gross matched the domestic gross. These things usually break out in the US first and then they get going overseas once they are released and become established brands. It will do fine IMO.
  19. No idea but hundreds of showtimes have already sold out so... a lot.
  20. It's basically an extended clip. First trailer was better. Animation looks good though.
