    Tried to find any point of comparison for tickets going on sale so early and the only big one I could find is the Star Wars sequels which were October for December.

    Wild shot: could Deadpool maybe be moving up? Infinity War moved up a week from May to April in March of that year, so it's not impossible they'd move it this far out...

    It's looking more and more like the rumors of Deadpool going on sale next week are true. What's the point of comparison for something going up this early?

    Venues are now saying tickets on sale next week. Wow. Guess they're really confident.

    The consensus is that it's definitely ambitious, the same difference is how they feel it executes on those ambitions

    That's the big thing: who's doing this. Studio rep? Distributor rep? Random fucking Cinemark employees?

    AMC having runtimes already would be a sign of tickets going up sooner than expected. If they do im certain we get a promotion for it before the weekend, no way they go into that without warning.

    The problem is with that element it makes any sort of home/streaming release impractical. Any money it makes has to be in theaters Possibly muted awards chances, not great box office chances, potential complications with streaming...someone's gotta be willing to just eat 100 mil to say they released Coppolas last movie

    With that one spoiler element, I don't think a streamer picking it up is possible without a very wide release...but this sounds like an insanely risky bet for that. I dunno
