What I find really fucked up is that people keep on, and on, talking about it. Fuck sake I think I wont check in these forums the until Sunday after this depressing news has died down.
Well this is all very depressing, I think a separate thread should be made otherwise nothing else will be truly discussed. Dont give them what they want (fame/terrorism) and lets move on.
I don't believe this will have a profound affect. It might diminish the local area a lot but not people living in another state - not likely at least. At most this will decrease maybe 10M
I saw this at the midnight screening last night at Warwick megastadium, which I think is the biggest screen in WA at about 21 meters. Was completely packed with only the two front rows kind of empty. There was applause at the end of the film.In my honest opinion this film would of been perfect if there had been some comic relief! It took itself VERY seriously.
You cant make any comparison with old films like that, for example. Avatar in its first 2 months would of sold more tickets than the first 4 years of gone with the wind. The only fair comparisons are films within the same decade.
When I was watching the sold out shows on twitter people kept complaining 2D was sold out so they went 3D.Also rallax theater showed a huge decrease for 3D percentage wise. It was 60-40 sunday today it was 50-50
