  1. You are droping more bombs then there are in "Masters Of The Air".
  2. And so many people here though this would be a bi ghit. Just once again proves the truth of William Goldman's statment about what 30 years of being in the industry taught him about the Industry:' 'Nobody Knows Nothing".
  3. Well. to be honest the theatrical version of Kingdom of Heaven was not very good. It only became a really good movie in the Director's cut.
  4. FInally caught it on Disney +. I don't think it is the worst thing WDAS brouht out..remember some of the crap they released in the early 2000's; but it was incredibly mediocre. None of the songs memorable, Animation OK b ut nothing that great; not so much bad as just "Meh". And the homages to classic Disney Films simply are not clever or entertaining. But, this is one time Disney paid the price for making a bland movie with the losses it racked up.
  5. Potential. Right now, I guarantee you people looking at investing in Paramount see Trek as it biggest franchise.
  6. I don't know why studios play games like this. It does not really hide anything, just makes them look worse in the end.
  7. Kingdom of Heaven , frankyk, was a box office bomb on it's threatrical run in a badly cut version. It only became really popular wihen Ridley was able to release his original 3 hour plus cut on Video. I love the Ridely cut, BTW.
  8. But then it costs a lot in overhead to get a movie into theaters. Tens of Misslion of dollars. I
  9. Problem is where is Paramount going to get the investors it will need to keep afloat. Thye has better produce some hits fast.
  10. Oh ,I think we will get the Young Avengers, but not in their own movie.
  11. More proof that nowdays, just looking link fun is not enough to make a movie a hit. People are a lot more careful with their entertainment dollars then they used to be.
  12. How the hell would a light heatred adventure comedy benefited by a R rating? And one that was aimed from the beginning at a general audience?
  13. In the words of PT Barnum, no one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American Public. But I stand by my claim that inflation has bitten deep into many peoole's entertaiment budget.
  14. If they protray the fake moon landing as a really bad idea by a clueless bureaucrat and ridicule it, no problems. My contemp for the idiot "Moonbats" knows no bounds. Every piece of "evidence" they have for the landing being faked has been ripped to shreds repeatedly.
  15. I have not seen it, but read that Lee Majors and Heather Thomas, the stars of the original series, do have cameos in it.
  16. I love anything about the Space Program, but I hope they do the "Fake Moon Landing" as a rellly bad idea played for laughs. If they push it seriously, I am so not seeing this.
  17. I guess they should drap the Hollywood's First Studio barn Historic site in Hollywood in black. It was not the first Hollywood studio but the legend is that Cecil B De Mille and Albert Zukor, the founders of what was to become Paramount, shot the first film in Hollywood in a barn they rented. Not true..films had been made In hollywood for some time...but the legend caught on. and the Barn, though moved, still stands and is ran by the California State Park system as a Historical Monument.
  18. As it gets cloder to ooening, I suspect the whole "Does Taylor have a cameo in it" reumors are going resurface bigtime.
  19. It is not a case of being stupid, but a case of thinking that anything really negative about Jackson would drive away his fanbase. The Jackson estate has a veto on anything about this film. That should send up huge red flags about this being an honest movie. I have no doubt it will make a lot of money. I have no doubt it will suck bigtime as a movie.
  20. Oh, he has made lots of really bad predictions about movie box office over the years. He has little creditiblity left.
  21. I hated the Venom movies as much as you do, but Venom had something that Fall Guy did not...a charecter with a big time current following. I repeat, i think films nowday have to have something more then just being fun to be a big hit. And I have noted pleny of "crowsplesers" have failed to draw big crowds. Entertianment budgets for many people..those Married with kids in particular....are much tighter then they used to be.
  22. That is the norm...sequles take in less and less. Of course there are exceprions..like the Avengers movies, but there are always exceptions.
