  1. The writer? Also good job Tele. But Magic Mike? Really? And yet Jurassic World won't be making it?
  2. I really missed the Jarwin-Carter dynamic and I actually really liked Wilkes! I hope that like the actress, he was able to make it somehow...
  3. Oh, well this can't be good. Not good at all. #AgentCarter

  4. Good action scenes and it kept me interested throughout the movie. My main problem is that the characters tended to blend together. B OR the scene where the muslim wives and kids go to the dead bodies of their parents, or the interpreter who stayed behind even when he was told he could go home because he wanted to see things through, or the muslim who bravely threw an RPG at the muslims shooting at the soldiers, or the scene where a Benghazi goes up to the CIA annex to tell them to turn off their lights because it reveals them. Yes, the "bad brown guys" shoot up an American flag because they are frankly shooting at everything and it's that kind of symbolic imagery that finds it's way into these kind of movies. The car zooming down the road with wheels on fire...well that is just a silly complaint and I didn't get a "'MURICA" vibe from it and none of the characters thought it was cool. In fact one of them states the car should have just gone left-meaning it's actually bad that it got this bad for that car. As for the muslims chanting and then stopping, it adds to the eerie feeling and the tension of not knowing who in Benghazi they could trust. In fact, there's more evidence to suggest this is an anti-war movie than "war propaganda" because as Kransiki's character stated he would have died in a conflict that he didn't need to be in, didn't really understand, and in a country that didn't care about him. Seems to me like you wanted to hate the movie for being one-dimensional so you did ignore all of the grey shading it did provide.
  5. I ain't gonna watch your 2nd episode on my iPad or my smartphone. It's why I have a nice decent-sized TV. #Freeform #Shadowhunters

  6. Simon is an unlikable protagonist by the end. That's...part of what makes the movie so interesting, it's that in the end Simon was a terrible person.
  7. Star Wars: The Force Awakens isn't dropping hard because of competition: the competition isn't THAT strong. Part of the reason is because the holiday season is over. Part of the reason it isn't having ROTK/Avatar type legs is simple: it made $750 million in 3 weeks. That means that if you were going to see Star Wars, you probably saw it within the first 3 weeks it came out. It met the demand for the movies in 3 weeks. That's not bad: in fact, it's amazing the demand was so high it made over $740 million after just 3 weeks. Come on people.
  8. Oh, looks like my weekend predictions in my monthly movie guide were shockingly accurate for Ride Along 2 and 13 Hours OW. The Forest held better than I was expecting. Norm of the North way over-performed from what I was expecting.
  9. A movie about a story that needed to be told even if it constantly makes you wish that there was never a story, and thus a film, to begin with. A-
  10. With interesting, compelling characters being forced together, it creates for some really thrilling and interesting scenes. A-
  11. The film depends 100% on it's brutality to make any impact rather than building up characters that are compelling and rootable. Still, beautiful cinematography saves this from being a total waste. B
  12. I do behind the scenes work for #EternalCamping. https://t.co/x4tfjNfiJo

  13. A 2-3 year process with 3 background checks and a referral for refugee status by the UN is not good enough for Kasich. #GOPDebate

  14. I think the Revenant doing well is bad news for CBM movies because it's bad for movies in general. At least if Tele's reaction to the movie is to be believed. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
  15. I get a microphone and a boom mike for the #Indiegogo video shoot for #EternalCamping https://t.co/Wnfmp1UjCA

  16. @Henderson_Joe Play with the devil and you get...burned? I feel like that should be a saying if it isn't.

  17. The Revenant won the award that didn't matter. Not a good sign for it's Oscar chances. The Academy and the HFPA don't always see eye to eye.
  18. Leonardo DiCaprio wins his third Golden Globe. Good for him, I was rooting for Michael Fassbender. #GoldenGlobes

  19. It's been 3 years. He won a Golden Globe for the Wolf of Wall Street and the Golden Globe for Aviator. He hasn't won an Oscar despite being nominated 4 times.
  20. Leonardo DiCaprio won the Golden Globe for Best Actor? Hah, there goes his Oscar chances.
  21. Oscar voting already closed I believe. Also Globes only worth in the industry is marketing.
  22. Guys we should take the Golden Globes seriously-they are prestige awards after all. After all they nominated the Tourist a few years ago just to get Leonardo DiCaprio and Angelina Jolie to show up. That's how seriously the Golden Globes take themselves.
  23. He's actually watching Transformers. I'm streaming the Golden Globes. I tell him who wins.
