  1. $6.65m for an October release is nothing short of amazing. Muted stunted whatever word you want to use, it's gross is still impressive.
  2. I don't think people are actually legit considering $500m DOM.
  3. I must say I expected a bit more for Gravity. Was hoping for closer to $4m. But beggers can't be chooser, and I guess it'll be legs that are most important here.
  4. Oh now I'm really looking forward to what is coming!
  5. Sometimes I read those comments on top of it and just think "you really get paid to write that shit?"
  6. But that being said, I am actually going to somewhat sad about not being able to go to the movies on Boxing Day.
  7. Thanks for the update, J! Just a few things I thought... 1. LoP still creeps up on me as a 2013 release even though it was so long ago. However after Catching Fire and The Hobbit (and the usual surprises) it could possibly go as low as 8th for the year. 2. THE HANGOVER 3 MANAGED TO MAKE 21M??? 3. Does Gatsby count as an Australian film? Apart from director and film locations, I thought it was technically still not an Aussie film. 4. FF7 will decrease from FF6 for sure. I know you said about MU to "strike while the irons hot" but I think theyre striking too soon on this one. They've always had at least two years and I feel rushing this one for the sake of cashing in on the franchise is going to be a big mistake. But 2013 is turning out to be a great year and I cant wait to see what the summer brings!
  8. This would be a really awkward time for my roommate to come home..I'm sitting eating breakfast and I turn on TV and The Impossible is on...I'm a fucking wreck to say the least. Sobbing my eyes trying to eat god damn corn flakes.
  9. I almost didn't recognise your post. Liking the change to a pic!
  10. Both of those numbers are just insane. Toy Story 3 especially is just but Shrek 2 is nearly as impressive considering it was no 3D and in 2004.
  11. OHF really got in at the right time. I haven't seen WHD, but it sucked big balls to be released second.
  12. 1D will be big, especially in the UK.Suckers.
  13. I can't really say I expected much of MU. It just seemed so generic for a Pixar film. But as for DM2, I expected $30m, so going so much higher is incredible. And definitely agree with you on Elysium - fan-fricken-tastic!
  14. Just checked: 4th highest animation ever, after the above mentioned. Will end at no. 28 all time between Babe, and Goblet of Fire.
