  1. There really are so many massive releases this year. It's quite uncertain times in terms of having a guaranteed success.
  2. $103m for The Hangover... DAFUQ?!Hollywood, Hollywood, Hollywood... You seriously need to get your priorities in order..
  3. Bad WOM would've kicked in long before WK5.After this weekend total will be around AUD36.5m.
  4. Oh and just another thing on going alone - I'm the only person I know that loves movies as much as I do, so it's either go alone or don't see anything.
  5. Yes, I often go alone and don't see any issues - I'm one of those people who sits there and is glued to the screen. The second question depends on the context... There was nothing better than watching The Hangover 2 in a sold out cinema with my group of 15 people - as much as I love those people, I would never watch a movie like The Kings Speech with that same group.
  6. $700k for IM3?!?!!That is disastrous and just killed $40m!
  7. Anything above $800m is just :OThis franchise has a long long way!
  8. Flopover 3 :)And like I said yesterday, this is what will happen come Sunday:
  9. Its first Tuesday holds the single day admits record at my old work (well thats from May 2008 onwards - dont have any data prior to that)
  10. I'd love for it to go higher, but I need to be somewhat realistic.
  11. 5-day OW for Fast and Furious 6...11.5-12m 5-day is achievable I think. FF5 did 13.6m 7-day (Wed-Tues)
  12. Into Flopness was the perfect calm before this epic, epic storm!
  13. The Dark Knight is the most overrated film - while good, it's not godlike, like some here say it is.Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift is actually a very fun movie, and is not shit.I found Shawshank quite boring and underwhelming.
  14. It's May 20 and we've only had two films open above $5m?!
  15. Fantastic OW - bodes really, really for everywhere else, especially Australia.
  16. Pretty disappointed with how this has played out. I thought it was a lot better than ST09, but I guess it just didn't reach out to many :/
