Why is Solo not a good fit for BP? Theyre both tentpoles, and that creates an assumption that only minority audiences are seeing BP and that minority audiences seeing a tent pole wouldn’t be interested in a tentpole

Excellent previews, I still am not bullish enough for over 200m but BP is likely going hit IM3 or CW OW numbers. That’s absolutely crazy for it.

Exciting, I also am excited about “The Lighthouse”. A horror film by Eggers based off of sea myths sounds phenomenal. Im surprised there haven’t been any major horror films based off sea myths (not counting shark movies)

Finally finished season 1 of Crazy Ex, I think the only character who isn’t terrible is Heather. It’s great.

It’s not that you don’t encourage them to be yourself. It’s that it demonstrates a lack of judgement and knowing which kind of jokes are appropriate in which kind of situations. Especially since 3 of the interviewers are faculty, with 2 students, slang’s definitely not a good call for the situation.

So... I was helping interview somebody today for my student leadership org, and we asked them the question ”How would your friends describe you?” And I kid you not, their answer was “Extra and Boujee”

The song that I actually realized the inspiration they had for the Rebecca character was actually Cold Showers (and that episode in general). They had an option mid-season 1 to go the “crazy redemption” route or villain route and I think that’s the episode where you realize they go with the villain one (although it helps that most of the other main characters are also messed up people) Havent seen it all yet and there will be a season 4, so they may go in a different direction than I’m anticipating.

I’m talking more from a narrative perspective. She sort of spirals from this normal and relatable person, who is then faced with a crisis in the first episode (her depression), makes an impulsive decision, and then slowly starts spinning a giant web of lies to cover for herself. She started as a character who seemed more like a hero with issues and all of the sudden you realize “woah I’m rooting for the villain in this show.” Both shows are kind of centered on watching a narcissistic, educated, compulsive liar self-destruct. Just one dramatically and one comedically.

So, Rebecca Bunch is pretty much a comic version of Walter White (well minus the drug lord part)?
