  1. The Game of Thrones Saga: Dragons v White Walkers - Dawn of Winter Part 1
  2. I still see Guardians like Pirates, a WoM hit that'll have a massive sequel.
  3. As long as Guardians 2 is good it has a 400m chance simply because although it's Marvel it's more sci-fi and fresh than superhero film. I think Marvel films are going to start flatlining in that the Avengers movies gross less while the standalone movies grows a bit more (with avengers still being the big films)
  4. I bet 50 points Pitch Perfect 2 opens at #1 two people I bet 50 points to 2 people that Pitch Perfect 2 will be the second highest grossing film from May domestically 2 people
  5. I'm okay with the faster pace through books 4 and 5, they're too bloated anyways.
  6. A B Avengers: Age of Ultron[/b The DUFF Furious 7 Kingsman: The Secret Service The Last 5 Years C Chappie Insurgent Jupiter Ascending D Get Hard Mortdecai F Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2 Fifty Shades of Grey
  7. I saw it a second time because I was out of it the first time I saw it, and it held up about the same. The humor is funny enough at points but it's not as energizing as the first film. There's a whole lot more action, yet in a way the action got monotonous in a been-there done-that sort of way. The relationship building was nice, and I liked that we got more Hawkeye focus. Ultron is the best part of the movie, he's really what gives it its life. Overall it's not the best Marvel movie but not the worst ever, it's entertaining enough but never does much to stand out. B
  8. My favorite thing about this weekend and Interstellar's weekend was that they were both humbling experiences for Nolanites and Marvelites after critical and box office response.
  9. 1.Inside Out 2.Pitch Perfect 2 3.Spy 4.Tomorrowland 5.Hateful Eight 6.Pixels 7.Star Wars: The Force Awakens 8.Bridge of Spies 9.Mad Max: Fury Road 10.Jurassic World
  10. Lion King and Beauty and the Beast despite being musicals are definitely deserving. The instrumental themes are strong and show how musicals should incorporate their score
  11. I'm going to extend the deadline to May 29th to give more time
  12. Well my Avengers number is screwed now and I was one of the middle of the line predicts for it.
  13. It's hard to say second highest OW ever is disappointing but in a lot of ways it is because with all the hype and presales it feels like it should have at least gotten close to 200m. It'll be a while before we see another 200m opener most likely.
  14. Finished my showing of it. I'll go see it again, the crowd seemed to like it a lot but it wasn't the same energy that the first had. I didn't love it but I'll see it a second time because I was feeling off and wasn't that into it. And people complaining about trailers have no right after what I got, Dope, The Last Witch Hunter, Tomorrowland, Fantastic Four, and Ant-Man. My ranking of the marvel movies 1.Guardians of the Galaxy 2.The Avengers 3.Iron Man 4.Thor 5.Captain America: Winter Soldier 6.The Avengers: Age of Ultron 7.Iron Man 3 8.Captain America: The First Avenger 9.Thor: The Dark World 10.The Incredible Hulk 11.Iron Man 2
  15. I'm hoping it pushes over 100m, almost first 100m OD is no fun
  16. Excluding TDW marvel movies have gotten progressively more frontloaded, I could see something around, so assuming 25m is the number it should be below that 210m.
  17. I didn't say they weren't great. But none of them are amoung the greats. Big difference.
  18. 1) Will Avengers make 600 million domestic? NO 2) Will Avengers make more than F7 internationally? 3) Will Avengers make more than F7 in China? 4) Will Avengers make more than F7 in any of these countries: Brazil, Columbia, Portugal? ABSTAIN FROM THE REST
  19. Very happy Alexander Nevsky made it up this high! Its in my top 5 Transformers shouldn't be on the list but it's not a bad score, it has some good tracks actual but as whole it's not all that great. Plus it's pretty basic and unimpressive Also very happy about the Magnificent Seven and Chinatown. Especially Magnificent Seven, its a brilliant and fun old western score, one of my favorites actually.
  20. I get tired of hearing, "They didn't do this exactly like the book did" and not just for Game of Thrones, for everything. It's an adaption and will translate differently but the heart of what the books Game of Thrones are is there. There's a difference when you adapt a book and there's a completely different story on the screen that doesn't capture even the spirit of what its adapting (such as with the Hobbit) but when you watch Game of Thrones you're getting the spirit and essence of the books. It could never be a word for word adaption (especially when books 4 and 5 are such slouches), but it's still Game of Thrones.

  22. With the exception of an unnecessary pirates repeat and Star Trek 09 these are good inclusions.
  23. It won director as well as the most oscars, chances are it was in second place.
  24. Pirates is probably Zimmer's best score next to Gladiator (which is the rough foundation of Pirates)
