  1. Damn! Only 300,000 less than CF on this day. I'm really starting to believe $340 is possible.
  2. Even though I thought Exodus was mostly forgettable with the exception of the visuals, I really wanted it to cross $30m this weekend. Good for MJ! Getting close to the weekly CF numbers. Hopefully it can match by next weekend and continue to do as well or better for the rest of its run. If it's able to match CF starting next week, MJ1 would total at $343m dom. This is obviously wishful thinking, but I don't think it should be counted out of the race against GOTG quite yet.
  3. I meant 22%. I have no idea where I got 19% from. My brain has been all over the place. I also wrote "of" when I meant "for" lol.
  4. Never mind, my math must be off. MJ1 went up 24% vs CF 19%. Good of MJ1!
  5. Trailing behind CF this week... Better step it up by this weekend MJ!
  6. What are these percentages? Is this from movietickets.com? Never mind, I figured out that they were.
  7. Yeah, but last week MJ1's weekdays were either on par or slightly better than CF.
  8. That's no good! A 74% drop from yesterday compared to CF's 70%. I was hoping for a 65% drop and a 1.9m for today.
  9. To be fair, I think most people forgot The Giver and Vampire Academy haha
  10. Jupiter won't make any money. I think Into the Woods might be underestimated though.
  11. I have the Star Wars, Terminators, and Lord of the Rings. Need to get the Alien movies. Just got the Bond box set and Harry Potter box set delivered today too. Watching Sorcerers Stone right now.
  12. Keep my $335m DOM dream alive MJ1! Still kinda can't believe $335m has become a dream goal for this...
  13. Guardians only made $0.84 on it's first Monday. Mostly comparable number. That being said, I see a sub $80m total DOM for Penguins. Definitely disappointing considering a few weeks ago I thought it would cross $140m.
  14. 1. Star Wars 7 - $660m 2. Avengers: AOU - $545 m 3. Mockingjay Part II - $450m 4. Jurassic World - $345m 5. Bond 24 - $315m 6. Furious 7 - $265m 7. Minions - $240m 8. Fifty Shades of Grey - $230m 9. Inside Out - 225m 10. Insurgent - 210m CLOSE CALLS 11. Ant Man - $205 12. Good Dinosaur - $205m 13. Tomorrowland - $195m
  15. Digging the optimism! And I guess if it can fall $100m from Catching Fire why not increase $100 from Catching Fire. But like Finnick says in MJ1, "it's 10 times harder to put yourself back together than it is to fall apart".
  16. It isn't over till it's over. We'll see... I really want MJ1 to win the year, but if it was to lose to anything, I'd pick GOTG. So can't be too mad about that.
  17. I'm not convinced the GA interest in movies will rebound so soon but I hope you are right. This whole year has had a number of movies that seemed solid on paper but ended up underperforming. I expected November to be much bigger. I predicted... Interstellar $240-$275 Mockingjay $375-$400 Horrible Bosses 2 $100-$125 Penguins of Madagascar $125-$150
