  1. e perche' come dice il reverendo Swanson, ha satana come main sponsor........ http://www.comingsoon.it/News/?source=cinema&key=31195
  2. However, if it is projected in a much larger number of screens, they think it will have more viewers, or not?
  3. I think Lego Movie is the most overrated animated since Shrek (the most overrated ever, as for me), especially in North America (Rotten Tomatoes 98% positive and "A" Cinemascore), my first word after seeing it in my country, was "boring", a point of view shared by most of the audience. Domestically they have no direct competition for a long time, but in the Mr P&S opening weekend suffers a -50% drop (frozen -19%). Also the LM run can not be considered as 'original release': the brand "lego" is widely know, as some of the characters who appear in the movie.
  4. megaflop numbers, less than the first two market of frozen (SK 76 + UK 65 = $143M) 35% of OS numbers from UK ($48M), no other market over $10M, only four over $5M, disaster in SK also in this week near -50% drop DOM and in UK 500m WW is far far away
  5. 1995 - The Shawshank Redemption Japan partially repair the sensational theft of the Academy Awards: 7 nom/0 won for the best movie ever.(so it for me and for IMDB top 250 voters) Andy Dufresne - who crawled through a river of shit and came out clean on the other side.

  9. frozen's bom china numbers sometimes are not in line from those provided by entgroup and OS total numbers from those reported by screendaily.com. More than once bom OS total for frozen have been updated in mid-week. Chinese box office is hard to estimate? Or Disney setted data to get oscar and billion in the same day? (1.000.256.000$ is a number incredibly close to 1.000.000.000$)

  12. I'm not sure but I think "doreamon" is a franchise that is released every year at this time, also I do not know that numbers it do.
  13. My votes for Batman/Nolan brothers trilogy (italian version): Batman Begins: B- Is a good movie. But to see one more time. The Dark Knight: A+ Best superhero movie ever. Best superhero movie's supporting roles and screenplay ever. Ledger/Joker best superhero movie's villain ever. The death-scene of Rachel is enough to wipe out all the other batman movies. (Is the movie I've seen more times in my life with "The Shawshank Redemption", though I think that both will soon be beaten by Disney's "Frozen") The Dark Knight Rises: C: for the movie - E: If compared with TDK - R (ridiculous) for ridiculous story, screenplay and way to use an all oscar-winner cast - D (disappointment) for my best disappointment in a movie theater. disclaimer for vote R: Hardy/Bane is ridiculous character with a very ridiculous death scene and involved in the "most ridiculous plot twist ever ...." and unfortunately with a very very ridiculous dubbing in my language. I did regret Schwarzengger/Mr.Freeze Hataway/ Selina Kyle (most ridicoulus thief in the world) and Cotillard/Miranda Tate (also involved in the "most ridiculous plot twist ever..." and also have a very ridicoulus death scene) both winning the award "female batman movie's character more ridicoulous than... Thurman/Poison Ivy." Of course not everyone is ridiculous: to Bale/ Oldman / Caine / Freeman can not be associated in any case this word, while Gordon Levitt do his (ridiculous) best.
  14. I think that the best non-english version of Let it go is the latin/spanish "Libre Soy" by Martina Stoessel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4tGddRblok She also played an Italian version: in Italy (my country) Stoessel is widely know as Disney's TV teenage girl star "Violetta". Unfortunately my country's version is mistranslated and lost much of its original meaning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU4HOvKHfZA
  15. Top Ten Disney's Gifts 1 - Beauty and the beast ("Tale as Old as Time" dance scene - best animation/music scene ever) 2 - Frozen (Elsa's Ice Castle Building / Let it Go - best animation/music scene #2) 3 - The Lion King (Timon & Pumbaa characters - best disney's characters) 4 - 101 Dalmatians (Crudelia DeMon character - best disney's villain) 5 - Snow White (Evil Queen transformation scene - one of the best horror scene ever) 6 - The Lion King (Can You Feel the Love Tonight - best disney's song) 7 - Frozen (the Anna/Hans/Kristoff double twist - finally the prince charming is dead) 8 - Lilo & Sticht (Lilo character - best disney's child character) 9 - The Lion King (Scar charachter - disney's villain #2) 10 - Frozen (Anna&Elsa relationship - best disney's relationship) Top Ten Animation's Gift (all animation's edition) 1 - Toy story (best animated ever) 2 - Beauty and the beast ("Tale as Old as Time" dance scene - best animation/music scene ever) 3 - Frozen (Elsa's Ice Castle Building / Let it Go - best animation/music scene #2) 4 - Toy story (Woody & Buzz Lightyear - best animation characters and relationship ever) 5 - The Lion King (Timon & Pumbaa characters - best disney's characters) 6 - 101 Dalmatians (Crudelia DeMon character - best disney's villain) 7 - Snow White (Evil Queen transformation scene - one of the best horror scene ever) 8 - The Lion King (Can You Feel the Love Tonight - best disney's song) 9 - Frozen (the Anna/Hans/Kristoff double twist - finally the prince charming is dead) 10 - Lilo & Sticht (Lilo character - best disney's child character) 999- Shrek (best overrated, overstimated, over-whatever-you-want animated ever)
  16. from the-numbers.com: One last note, Frozen is expected to earn about $3 million over the weekend placing as high as sixth along the way. The film is on Video on Demand, but it is still expected to earn multimillion box office this weekend. That's impressive. - C.S.Strowbridge 405 DOM + 625 OS = 1030 WW at end of the run without Japan #1 animated and #10 WW with 40M in Japan (almost sure i hope) #6 WW with 95M in Japan (is really possible?)
  17. Actually it's going better than I thought, given also the negative reviews received in Italy. But 1M+ admissions is science fiction. Few films in Italy remain in top ten for over three weeks.

  22. we all know this .... even a 6 year old boy: if the film costs x, must earn 3x. The question is whether the film can have an audience that collect 3x. And be able to have as many spectators to earn at least 3x In Europe or in Hollywood is the same. For example in 2012 Disney's Wreck-It-Ralph have a 165M budget and earn 470m, 2,8x, in 2013 Disney's Frozen have a 150M budget and will earn around 1,1B 7,3x (in 2010 Tangled 260m/590m 2,3x). Then only Frozen can be definite as Hollywood blockbuster? No, it's a great product with a perfect marketing. Wreck-It-Ralph and Tangled much less.
  23. for rysu.. I am convinced that you will be satisfied in a few weeks ....... but: original animated movies in billion club: 1 original animated movies in top 50 WW: 1 (The Lion King and Finding Nemo re-released) original animated movies in top 51-100 WW: 10 I do not think a little thing
