This is top tier comic book movie. Ever. My gf had already set my expectations high for this but holy shit...I was not prepared. I guess having not seen properly a movie, on the big or small screen, for a long time helped but this is a masterpiece. Common question first...yes, I think it's better than the original, which is fantastic in its own rights. To begin with, it was such a ballsy move on Jenkin's part to make a blockbuster that has little action. But this paid off in spades. The film is a character driven, emotionally investing epic. Yet it manages to be epic. It went bigger by going smaller. It's the characters that make it work. Before this, I only tested up with The Lion King back when I was 8 or something and with Interstellar. Until now these were the only two movies that achieved this. Now WW84 is only the third one. Diana's arc is so powerful and inspiring as it is relatable. There is no mean bone in this movie. No agenda. The love and passion of everyone involved feels like it transcends the screen. I honestly haven't seen a film that feels like the people behind it just wanted to celebrate filmmaking while crafting it. And Gal Gadot is such a powerhouse in this. It's a demanding role and she did such a terrific job. All her naysayers, even those who remained after the first film, can suck it. She is literally superb in every way. And the rest of the cast is amazing as well. Steve/Diana remain the top cbm couple to date (imo). Just a little gripe, I find a thing (it's a spoiler) to be a bit uninspired but it's such minor thing that I rolled my eyes there and just forgot about it. Also, Zimmer might just be freaking Apollo. And if you were a fan of No Man's Land, this has two (or three) scenes that are equally powerful and inspiring. Gave me chills and even made me tear up. 9.5/10 fuck can't wait to see it again.

Ok that was fucking great! Full reaction in about a half an hour as I am supposed to be in my home and not on the streets....but fuck corona the film made me feel as if I am back at the pre-covid era. A wonderful return to the movie going experience.

Such a reaction is normal for the Chinese audiences! They like seeing a couple of dudes punching the shit out of each other!! This is much more character driven from what I gather and I appreciate it for it.

So it ain't a real Superhero movie unless it's 2 hours of two testosterone injected guys punching each other?

That went south real fast

Have to say that this scene kinda lessened my excitement. Still very excited but it is something that belongs to mcu. Like there is nothing wrong with it but the campy feel is their region and DC should strive for a different feel.

Remember the academy "owes" Wonder Woman and this year they will need as much help they can get. If someone like freaking Zimmer gets "among his best scores" notices for this one can see an upset coming.

Starting to think that this is getting nominated for score.

If it fails to reach 90% then it will be 9ff by a very very small margin. Like 88-89%.

She likes them equally and says it's the perfect continuation. Still she found this to be more thrilling and engaging.Only one small gripe she has but can't share because I'm pretty sure its a spoiler and we had a good fight for telling me.

Well my gf saw it a couple of hours ago and in between her "it was great" and her "i saw it first sucker" she did mention a couple of times that it was "heartbreaking". She keeps repeating that she is not gonna tell me anything but joke's on her because I have read partly the leaked plot

Seeing movies early is one more thing covid has taken away from me. But not my gf.And she said she is seeing it either today or tomorrow. Gonna update.

All things considered I think this will be a bigger crowd pleaser than the first one. First movies is one I keep very close to my heart but holy shit everything I read and see of this one makes me feel like I can break stones with my hands. Latest trailer and clip are absolutely perfect and shows that Patty not only gets the character but she has understood Diana so well that even the tiniest detail in the action scenes are so Diana and I love them for it.

The worst reaction I have seen so far says that it's awesome but not as great as the first. If I had to predict I would say we are looking at a 85%+ RT movie.

Honestly, Robbie is reaching heights that no other actress her generation has reached, not even Lawrence. In her upcoming line up she will work with O Russell, Kurzel, Gerwig and now Chazell. She is on a roll.

People will illegally download it. I guarantee it. Personally, I don’t want to do it and I am very willing to pay good money to see WW on the biggest screen possible, and even though I won’t do it, pirating it seems like the only way to see it. At least they should have waited until HBO Max would be available globally.
