Henry Cavill is a worldwide trend on twitter just because of his IG post where he builds a PC...yet WB is not confident in him leading a MOS sequel. Their logic is baffling at the very least.

I found Watson to be excellent as Belle so to each their own I guess.

This is a genius move on DC/WB's part. Hell they should make this an annual event and skip comic-con or maybe just a couple announcements there.

WB is a company. At the end of the day all they care about is making money and that beautiful green arrow besides their name in the stock market. They won't break ties with JKR. Maybe she will after this. And these actors are a company as well. Or maybe a brand. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a talk with Rowling before making their statements. Watson spent Halloween with her. In any case, all these years I though HP had the most loyal fandom. Never would have thought that this is what would divide them one day.

Rowling should be more careful with her words. Not because of shit like Harry Potter is a business and money. But because she refers to actual human beings with feelings. In any case, twitter controversy is like throwing a bucket of water to the ocean. Complete useless. Harry Potter fans will flood the cinemas as long as Rowling and WB offer good movies. Respectful to the source material. I will say though that I agree that some changes need to happen. I feel like the franchise is in danger to feel...boring. They need new voice. Maybe Yates and Kloves should take a break from HP and pursue other things. Obviously WB won't cut ties with Rowling but they need to get new people involved. Also, Cuaron at one point had expressed interest in returning...why choose Yates?

Johnson has many fans and a lot good will on him in international markets. They won’t care. Honestly I don’t think anyone cares.

I can see Bond going to a newcomer which will be ironic because Cavill lost the role because he was too young. And I think both roles, bond and superman are top tier and iconic roles. Any actor would be happy with any of those.

And this. Cavill is not a thespian but he gets the job done and he does it very good as well. After the Witcher he made fans both among the nerds and gamers (9gag has named him their king) and women across all ages. For a comic book movie there is obviously a big overlap between the usual fans and the gamers etc. But also bringing in women will be very important. On top of that, the cameos can only help him. Superman scenes directed by Sandberg seems ideal and fans have been asking for the Superman vs Black Adam fight for years. There is nowhere to go but up. Hopefully WB soon realizes than Cavill is their best option going forward as it is the choice that will make the Snyder fans, the DCEU fans and the regular fans happy. If anything, the HBO Max boss said that the reason they decided to release the Snyder cut was because they listened to the fans. If he was serious about that then I am confident in a new Cavill movie.

The second Cavill appears in his first cameo the same fans that made the Snyder Cut released will demand for MOS2. If they managed to get HBO Max to release the Snyder cut they will be able to have MOS 2 in less than a decade. I am one of those fans.

I don't think the general audience really care about Twitter's cancellation of the day. Taika and the movie should be fine.

Variety and Deadline say that Cavill's team and WB are in active talks and pretty much the deal has closed (at least they made it sound like it) THR says that no talks have taken place, there is no script with Superman in it and that there are only ideas being thrown around by WB.

So who do we believe...deadline and variety or THR?

I agree that after seeing Hollywood Corenswet doesn't seem that good of a fit. Cavill is still the best choice out there. As an actor I think he can grow but maybe in some other role....nightwing?

YESEESSSS MY BOY IS BACK ! I will take it for now with the hopes that one day I will get to see MOS2. I mean I can already see how he will overshadow everyone in the Shazam sequel. It’s Superman. Them again, all these reporters were hellbent that Henry was not coming back so... I will hold out hope. For the time being i am just happy that he haven’t seen the last of Henry’s Clark. For me he is the best Superman. And I actually think that Sanberg will be a great fit to tackle the character.

I hate WB for not taking care of this movie and the entire franchise. Countless directors to choose from and they chose the dude from La Llorona. Not necessarily saying it will be bad but judging from that film....

It’s not really Grace but the cryptic tweets by Henry’s manager. Plus the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut event that was orchestrated by WB/HBO Max and they chose Cavill of all the actors to announce it. I mean I get that it was a MOS Watch party but Ray Fisher and Jason Momoa would be ecstatic to do it. Also, Garcia might have worked something off considering she also reps The Rock. I can already think of an offer they couldn’t refuse. And seems like WB is willing to listen to the fans for once and Cavill is what they want (the majority of them).

I share the same opinion as (almost) everyone when it comes to Grace and how reliable she is but, for what is worth, she did teased discussions for the Snyder Cut back in November and even a week ago she hinted that it Snyder Cut was a go so maybe.... Anyway, I don’t think this necessarily means MOS2. He could appear in Black Adam and/or Shazam 2 and later have his movie.

Liked it. First trailer was better. Here Washington’s acting seemed off. But Pattinson and my wife Debicki seem great.

It’s funny watching Film Twitter mad at the idea even, that Percy, and some of the cast, will be white. Sure. It’s not like it’s a film about Greek gods and their offspring. Or that Riordan gives a description of them in the books.
