  1. The thing that's interesting is that 2015 was kind of a precursor to this; The only movies that ended their run at $200M were Mockingjay Pt. 2, Martian, Cinderella, and Spectre, and the latter two had some fudge in their numbers, so it's debatable if they truly count. I guess in today's world of rising ticket prices and shorter theater-to-ancillary windows, so this will likely be the new norm. I'm almost guaranteed that next year will be a repeat. Even the movies that I currently predict will be in the $200M range (Lego Batman, Kong, Fast 8, Apes, Dunkirk, Ninjago, Thor, Coco) I have a strong suspicion will fall below or rise above that range.
  2. That "3 hour, borderline NC-17 white collar satire" had Leo though. Liam Neeson's a boss, but his presence does not guarantee $100M. I'll eat crow if you're right, but I only see Gangs of New York numbers as this movie's ceiling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  4. What are you talking about? Inferno's facing Untitled Lionsgate Horror Film. I've heard that it has great franchise potential.
  5. Fun story: When The Nice Guys came out, my mom and I were watching Stephen Colbert interview Bomer about his role in the movie. Throughout 90% of the interview, it was pretty much him talking about Magic Mike and what it was like working with Channing Tatum. A few hours later, my mom, my dad, and I watched Magic Mike on HBO, solely to see Matt Bomer's role and throughout the movie we were looking for him, until we noticed him in the background about 50 minutes into the movie. Now, he's a funny little inside joke between me and my mom.
