Really loved this movie btw. Saw this last night and this all hit hard.

Yeah, same for streaming movies, streaming shows, etc. Only real one that really is given leeway are movies that open on platform release. Like it's not fair to spoil Licorice Pizza a month after its 4-theater release when 99% of the people who want to watch it haven't seen it yet because it's not available in their area yet.

The new rules since April 2022 is spoilers are allowed 30 days after release. Avatar’s been out for more than 30 days, so it’s fine.

Yeah this is a total non-controversy, and I'm speaking as a hardcore "get vaccinated" guy. People don't care about celebrities doing problematic stuff unless they are Mel Gibson terrible or are accused of assault. And even then, you can argue that's still not enough considering how the Golden Globes was full of people idolizing Brad Pitt. As long as he doesn't say anything Holocaust denial bad, he'll probably, at worst, get solid TV work. Which is what he's been doing for years anyways. This won't matter.
