  1. http://www.deluxecdn.com/dcinema//projectionistletter/projectionistletter_the_house_with_a_clock_in_its_walls_usa_20180921_082722.pdf It says on House's projectionist letter "TRL 1" for Dragon. It should happen sometime within the next few weeks though. November at the latest.
  2. Next week's runtimes w/o credits and attachments: Life Itself: 1:49. Beautiful Boy and Suspiria are the attachments Assassination Nation: 1:39. Attachments are Mid90s and Beach Bum House with Clock: 1:38. Attachments are Grinch (New trailer) and Dragon 3
  3. Ah yes, like those high review scores for A Wrinkle in Time, a Disney SJW piece...oh wait, it got mediocre to negative reviews. Guess those damn checks didn't go in. Also, we're really going to argue that Ghostbusters got high scores? Obviously the film has its fans, but a 74% on RT and 60 on MC basically translates to a general consensus of "yeah, it's pretty a'ight I guess."
  4. Well I mean RT's audience score is already at 52%, and seeing as howSJW movies usually sink when it comes to the RT Audience cateogry, obviously barring a few exceptions, I feel inclined to believe that, yeah, the movie is probably bad. But hey, go off and be a sexist fuckface I guess.
  5. Wendy's always was my favorite fast food joint.
  6. A Simple Favor 134 1366 9.81% The Predator 243 1764 13.78% White Boy Rick 88 2147 4.10% A Simple Favor comps: 51% of Orient Express (14.6M) 80% of Pitch Perfect 3 (16M) 86% of Life of the Party (15.4M) 149% of Book Club (20.2M) 59% of Ocean's 8 (24.4M) 36% of Mamma Mia 2 (12.7M) 122% of Crazy Rich Asians (32.3M) Feels like the teens are where it's going. The Predator Comps: 133% of Blade Runner (43.7M) 112% of Ready Player One (47M) 14% of Deadpool 2 (18.1M) 18% of Jurassic World 2 (26.4M) 58% of Mission: Impossible (35.5M) 94% of The Meg (42.8M) 102% of The Nun (54.7M) Juding by Pulse action, Predator's severely overperforming at my theater. Maybe it's due to the black cast? White Boy Rick comps: 110% of The Commuter (15.1M) 183% of 15:17 to Paris (23M) 149% of Death Wish (19.4M) Also seems like an overperformer. Also, for whatever reason WBR is getting the majority of showtimes this weekend. Four Thursday showtimes, then 8 on both Friday and Saturday, 5 on Sunday. By comparison, ASF and Preadtor are only getting 4. Kinda odd.

  8. B from Indiewire https://www.indiewire.com/2018/09/green-book-review-viggo-mortensen-mahershala-ali-tiff-2018-1202002888/ Positive from TheWrap https://www.thewrap.com/green-book-film-review-viggo-mortensen-mahershala-ali-deep-south/ Praises from Deadline https://deadline.com/2018/09/first-man-oscar-contender-green-book-toronto-film-festival-1202462025/ I can't believe the man who made Shallow Hal might win an Oscar.
  9. From what I've heard, Portman's only in it for the second half of the movie, as the first half has a child actress play the younger version of her character, so Neon's doing what Weinstein did with Dev Patel in Lion and play off category fraud, arguing "Hey, Natalie Portman's only in half of the movie, so she's a supporting player! The kid's in the other half, so it counts...I guess." Also doesn't help that Best Actress is super stacked this year, and Neon wants to get awards recognition somehow.
  10. Good to know the follow-up to Hill's animated classic Allen Gregory is a rousing success.
  11. Haven't paid much attention to the Screenplay category this year, but maybe Eighth Grade could sneak its way in. TBQH, I feel like that movie could have really gone somewhere awards-wise if it was placed in the fall.
  12. 😐 Honestly, I feel bad about trashing this movie, because the crowd I was with seemed to be into it. One of the child actors in the movie was even there...but I'm gonna trash it anyways. People go on about how this film is a feature-length This Is Us. Honestly, I wish this was a feature-length TIU, because then the product would actually be good. It's a mess, it's unsure what it wants to be, it's acting is decent at best and poor at worst (the fact Dan Fogelman managed to make Oscar Isaac's performance weak is unforgivable), its writing is ridiculous, it's ungodly manipulative, it's pretty much a trainwreck. On the upside, this is very, very fun to riff on and laugh at. I honestly want to recommend this to y'all, just so you can see all of the weird, dumb shit this movie pulls, and for us all to have a big laugh over how stupid this is.
  13. Makes me think of the time back earlier in the year when somebody went on about how WB was in shambles and was in danger of being in a slump after Tomb Raider or some shit didn't do that well. Hilarious.
