  1. Bad Santa 2 actually might not do too bad for an unfunny-looking cash-grab sequel that was at least a decade too late. Of course, a $25-30M total is nothing to crow about either.
  2. Christmas always allows for multiple films to do well. Besides, we all know Assassin's Creed is locked to be the big bomb of the holidays.
  3. It boggles my mind that the first thing he's done in 15 years looks so...inconsequential. But then the last time he was on-screen, it was the notorious bomb Town & Country (look up that movie's production history if you're bored, no joke), so...
  4. lol for years (and still happening now) there's always been the fear of turning off little boys from seeing a "girl" movie. Remember when they changed Chicken Little from a female to a male because of that reason? I mean just look at the theatrical domestic poster for Frozen. lmao.
  5. Yeah, this will be at $150M by the end of the weekend. Maybe that will silence the "but it's a Harry Potter movie" naysayers once and for all.
  6. Does Discount Tuesday usually apply to early showings for Wednesday openers, though? I didn't check yesterday to see how anything was doing at my theater but I do remember seeing a disclaimer at some theater I went to saying they don't (might have been around Christmas last year).
  7. Actually, if Disney really did take over the world, it probably wouldn't be an evil empire at all. Everyone would be friends with each other and the whole planet would look like that creepy Celebration town.
  8. Love that Caitlin (and Danielle Panabaker) finally got a proper episode last night.
  9. I wonder if Arrival could be disqualified given that it prominently uses "On the Nature of Daylight."
  10. This looks like the lovechild of Groundhog Day and If I Stay.
