  1. That movie was quite controversial back when it came out. It caused a lot of real life conversations about nannies, etc.
  2. I don't know why or how Seth Rogen managed to convince a movie studio to fund a premise this outrageous, but the results are sure gonna be fun to see.
  3. She looks just fine to me these days. LOL lay off the National Enquirer, bud.
  4. LOL Jolie is not at all dying, silly. Stop falling for everything you see on the covers of those BS supermarket tabloids.
  5. Yo Twister is awesome, no guilty pleasure about it. "I gotta go Julia, we got cows!"
  6. I completely agree with this. I felt that if some movie was gonna benefit from the massive success of Frozen, it was always gonna be Maleficent.
  7. Thoughts: Fine for Think Like a Man Too, even though it clearly didn't gain any audience. A very muted opening for Jersey Boys but that had to be a given. Expected drops for the Jump Street and Dragon sequels. Both appear to be on track for at least $160M each. Very strong holds for Maleficent (especially), Edge of Tomorrow, and X-Men. The Fault In Our Stars is starting to stabilize after last weekend's predictable plunge. Glad to see Chef is still chugging along, everyone should go see it if they haven't. And straight-up hellish for The Rover. An $800 PTA, yikes.
  8. Yeah, Tammy will do $100M+. It's one of the very few movies this summer targeting older women (an underserved demographic), plus Melissa McCarthy is on a hot streak. I'm also thinking that the reviews will be generally positive as well (the fact WB decided to plant it on 4th of July weekend indicates a lot of confidence).
  9. Yeesh, I remember seeing a preview for Bad Johnson on the Internet two months ago and sat there in astonishment that someone got the bright idea to make a movie out of that ridiculous premise. Lawd.
  10. I assumed it's The Fault In Our Stars since the target audience for it is glued to their cellphones all the damn time lol.
  11. Yeah, I'm kind of beginning to think Maleficent stole Dragon 2's thunder as the must-see family film of the summer. More crossover appeal.
  12. LOL @ Jersey Boys' audience being 71% over 50. Not surprised though.
  13. White Chicks. It's insanely stupid and the makeup is creepy as hell (like, really creepy), but good lord does it make me laugh out loud and then feel so embarrassed for doing so. Especially everything that Terry Crews does and Jennifer Carpenter's big breakdown in the dressing room. "Hi I'm Cellulite Sally; look at my huge ba-donkey. Don't forget about me, I'm Backfat Betty. Now who could have said that? Oh yeah, it's Tina the Talking Tummy. I CAN'T EVEN WEAR A SHORT SKIRT AND A TOP WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE A FAT PIG!"
  14. After this thread I don't think I want to hear about anything that ends with "mon" for the rest of my life.
