  1. Actually the visuals look good, but calling them the same names Bodhi and Utah just reminds me of Swayze and Reeves which just makes me want to watch the originals instead. I dont think these lead actors have any of the same charisma as the originals. I agree with the earlier comment that they needed a big name actor in one of the roles to make it work although I think the new bodhi is more watchable than utah from what i see in the trailer, mainly from the last scene with the gravity line.
  2. I feel the same way. Those people who enjoyed the first are still around and although there will surely be a significant drop off, I still think it will interest enough people to make good money. Thistype of movie will look qhite original and fresh compared to most other wide released movies nowadays.
  3. Getting desperate? Hollywood has been desperate for a long long time. This movie is the norm, not really surprising. I'm more surprised it isn't part of a new Greek wedding universe.
  4. I think this will make a tidy sum. It's got a big fanbase and I think the counter programming will work very well.
  5. Yep, it will be interesting to if they stick around for the long haul or make a quick exit. Of course this being a hit or flop may impact that decision.
  6. ^ I was expecting something much more drastic look wise. Why would he change his appearance so much for rock of ages but not this? Some info about the financing behind the movie http://deadline.com/2015/05/paris-kasidokostas-latsis-hercules-tom-cruise-doug-liman-mena-natalie-portman-cannes-1201429559/
  7. I guess we'll never know how Keanu woukd have done in the role. I'm curious about Pratt but I don't see him being a solo star outside of these big brand movies. I guess Lawrence will be the main draw of this anyway.
  8. When has pratt ever had a solo hit? And I dont see the age difference being a problem.
  9. Isn't that usual romantic casting in hollywood? Plus judging by the plot it wouldn't be that out of place him choosing the first beautiful girl he saw. I dont think the character is thinking whether they are suitable in age range to date lol.
  10. I honestly think Keanu would have been a bigger draw in this movie than Pratt will be.
  11. I agee with all of that, except the R. I wouldn't want to limit his potential audience.
  12. I wouldn't Duhamel to be supporting cast member but let Gibson take the lead amd have the story revolve around him and a wife and kid of his we're introduced to.
  13. No I genuinely think he deserved a chance to lead the franchise after Shia left. He's done a great job as part of ensembles, now I would have liked to see Bay put him front and center.
  14. I think a lot of people like megan and shia in their transformers roles so I can see it making a significant difference. Megan might not be a draw without it but put her and shia back together I can see a lot of positive publicity and buzz around the movie again. Imo, shia and megans characters are what grounded the first 2 movies amid all the mayhem. Once the characters you care about leave, all the mindless cg action means nothing.
  15. Watch Red Cliff, the way he directs battles and his imagery is still eye catching. Given the freedom of being able to tell a the tech wizzes exactly what he wants the robots to do and have them deliver that through cgi and adding in his passion for love stories which he could develop between whatever human characters he cast, I genuinely think we'd be in for a awesome and unique ride.
  16. I would like to see his style in a movie like transformers, to see his take on the huge robot fights. I'm sure he'd throw in some cool shootouts too. I'm sure the studio has different ideas if they had to replce bay, maybe a justin lin? I always thought zach snyder could bring some great visuals to transformers too.
  17. And I dont think you understand my point. I dont agree that China should be taken out of the equation because it is part of the equation. Nothing 'must' be separated. You can compare them, you say it made X amount internationally and when you see the breakdown of each country you can see where it came from, including China. I dont see the need for it to simplified any more than that.
  18. I guess they think no one will notice them changing the actor? Unless he just stays in costume the whole time or he is a new shredder who has taken over the foot clan.
  19. You dont have to make anything easy for me. I think that's a weak argument to separate it from OS results. It's on the rise in China which is a big part of the overseas market, therefore it's results should be included as part of that. Like I said before, some movies get the bulk of their profit from Europe and don't make much money in China or Asia, so should we separate Europe from WW?
  20. Why should it be taken out, China is part of a movies overseas performance,
