? Mad Max opens opens in all major markets except for Brazil and Japan next weekend. Big action spectacle. I don't know for other places, but it will be more competition for AoU than Pitch Perfect is. And the week after that Tomorrowland opens in most places. The weekend after that San Andreas opens in most countries, another big action spectacle. And after that JW.
You mean in total? Who would have believed that? I seriously doubt AoU will even touch TF4 in total, let alone FF7. It was unrealistic from the beginning to even think that.
That does not seem so good. Can it make it to 700M from the current markets? If China "only" makes 200M it might not even touch DH2's 961m OS (700+200+Japan - TA made 45M there, IM3 made 25; I assume this can make a bit more than TA, so around 50M... idk).
Ok, this might actually come under TDKR, while being in 3D and off a much bigger weekend. It's funny to think I was slammed when I predicted 520-530m for this a while back...
That isnt that great either. I mean, it's obviously a huge number, but from what I've read in the OS thread, people were expecting another 200M weekend + Friday was a holiday in most markets.
It's even better than earlier. It also ilustrates quite nicely that what I've been repeating for about a year now is true: the novelty element, that transformed TA in the beast it was, is gone. It's truly stunning really that this will manage to retain such a big part of the originals OW, even if it will likely decrease by more than 100M when we talk total.
