  1. Yeah I think we'll get a trailer by Christmas. I hadn't realised that they haven't done live action filming yet. I thought they had already filmed the whole of the first sequel.
  2. That poster irritates me extremely. JORDAN PEELE and WRITER/DIRECTOR OF GET OUT are not centered precisely. I dont even have ocd but this is really upsetting me.
  3. That's pretty much impossible. Avatar flopping is about as likely as a Star Wars movie flopping. Don't be absurd. Wait, hang on.
  4. I don't think Ninjago damaged the brand, I mean barely anyone saw it. It's just diluting the brand which takes away novelty of Lego movie. If Ninjago did well and was well liked I dont think that would stand the Lego 2vie in any better stead, really.
  5. Possibly, possibly not. Lego Batman is about as close a comparison as you can get (remember it had same release date) and it had -32% lower previews than Batman.
  6. You're not the only one. I thought it was James Cameron cameo too.
  7. What time did showings start? $1.5M previews is much less than say Hotel T 3 previews which was $2.6M.
  8. Michelle Rodriguez Says Liam Neeson Can’t Be Racist Because of the Way He Kissed Viola Davis in ‘Widows’ https://variety.com/2019/film/news/michelle-rodriguez-liam-neeson-cant-be-racist-kisses-1203131498/?fbclid=IwAR11hpPsSfhqTcStxVKaDlNZrfjvQLDkqsaTD4lxDzGapXNmVP8x7D_YkqM
  9. one of the biggest influential movies post-2000 would have to be Spider-Man, the influence it's had on pop culture is way bigger than any avengers / lotr / modern SW / anything else.
  10. 400M Friday you guys are talking about? Also how much has it grossed so far? (Not sure if it came out today or yesterday?) Sorry for being thick I have read the last few pages but as always in this thread I can't understand the way most people write their posts.
  11. I dont really understand what you are asking @DAJK A film that only comes around once a generation? Well Wizard of Oz and Snow White were only two years apart. The Marvel CU / Avengers are i would say the "defining" movies of the current / past 10 years but not 100% sure what youre asking.
  12. I really liked their relationship, that was one of the strengths of the film. At least from alitas perspective. (didn't care about him as a character) and yeah when he was rebuilt and then climbed up the pipe and then died, it was all a bit quick, felt like some scenes had been edited out. Which may not have made it better if they were in, but no that bit didn't really work for him as a character. It did work in terms of the affect it has on Alita and that was what I thought was important. Seeing and believing Alita's reactions to events in the movie is enough for me. The entire film is held together (imo) by the character of Alita (and, I suppose in part by Rosa Salazar's performance). Also can I just say I really liked how fast the credits went. More movies should do that.
  13. he said self-sabotage, I mean Liam did it by accident, Olivia was actively intending to sabotage the predator. (pun intended)
  14. @Ipickthiswhiterose what? Trailer is great. Very funny. Better trailer than I can recall for some of Neesons other recent action movies.
  15. Casey Affleck, now there's a actor we need more of. I watched gone baby gone the other day, that was great. He has a new film that he directed showing at Berlin this week.
  16. What? He was talking about how you behave/react after something deeply upsetting. It absolutely is a "primal" / irrational rage and emotions. You do not think straight and logically.
  17. I must admit at the start of the film when Waltz says to his ex wife, "Our daughter is dead, you need to get over it." I burst out laughing.
  18. No mention of Hugos brother or family or anything.
  19. Huh? There are no other animated films coming out this year that could do well in Chile? Toy story 4 or lion king or frozen 2 ...?
