Oh, I had been reading some posts saying how it's a bomb/disappointment. It was a well-timed release given that there's little out there, and shouldn't be lumped in with the domestic bombs of other bigger films that have been released in the past couple of weeks.
Am I the only person who thinks A Walk in the Woods had a great weekend? People should get some perspective, it's a cheap film from a tiny movie company about two old men going for a walk...
Hooper has said that the character is "a man for two thirds of the film". Really? How is it possible to make a film about a transgender person while not understanding what transgender means??
Reading everything from the press it seems I am just going to be annoyed by the film.
You won't need it right now but I am glad the transition to 4K is underway for blu-ray. 4K streaming is coming too so this shouldn't surprise anyone. It's just the next resolution upgrade (skipping 1440p? whatever.) that seems unnecessary now, but in 5 years time will be totally normal.
personally I enjoy watching blu rays on my PC, with a distance of about 1 foot between me and the screen. this could do nicely for me.
I didn't mean him as a person, I meant him as an actor. I haven't seen any evidence from any of his (terrific) acting work that suggests his performance would be in line with other Bonds.
I personally couldn't give a shit about Bond as I hate the franchise and loathe the character, couldn't care less if he is white or black, gay or straight, whatever. I just mean in comparison to other previous actors playing the role.
I actually agree with the controversial comment about Elba being "too street". Bond has always been very posh, and Elba is just the opposite of that. He comes across as down to earth and realistic.
