  1. Met up with a friend last night, i feel so sorry for her, she is 17 and pregnant and her mum just died. no boyfriend either cause shes shut the dude out. Can't begin to imagine how fucked her head is inside. and being with a pregnant person who is out drinking, just a bit sad really. She has no idea what she is doing.
  2. oh no, it really sucks that characters can have things happen that have consequences. These type of things are healthy for the MCU, similar to how the Decimation actually had an un-alterable effect on the universe and things were not reversed. Obviously wait to see the film before having real opinions.
  3. YA is not dead, it never will be. it changes form. Harry Potter, to Twilight, to Hunger Games. #1 film of all time is YA also as mentioned above ready player one did well last year. Just have to give people a product they want to see. (not convinced that a hunger games prequel fits this description tho)
  4. I'm not sure what you call tabloids in America but here tabloids are newspapers. The Sun is the best selling daily newspaper in the UK. And yes it's a tabloid. Tabloid here is a small newspaper, big ones are broadsheets. Those gossips magazines we just call gossip mags.
  5. You'd need to murder Mr. Fukunaga first, then they might have an interest.
  6. You should have been here when Spectre opened to the equivalent of $400M opening weekend.
  7. yeah it did a lot better than I thought. I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I thought it looked huge, I remember seeing things in the newspaper while it was filming about them spending $5 million on a plane to crash it.
  8. If they can fudge it there just with US re-release why would they spend money on releasing it elsewhere? Avatar did actually make something like 30M iirc from its re-release. Endgame is incredibly unlikely as its not really a re-release since the films still in wide release, plus its not a different film just some different credits supposedly. I doubt very much it would be worth it in other markets, they only need to do it in america. it would not be beneficial but its somewhat expensive to distribute a film worldwide.
  9. But it looks like any other $200M movie and marketed like one. The budget of a film has very little if anything to do with its box office i.e. people would not be twice as likely to watch Dunkirk if they knew it had twice the budget. Unless Dunkirk had much smaller marketing costs (dont think it did), i think its fair to say that just in terms of box office it was not that great compared to some of Nolan other films.
  10. yes almost certainly US only. just a small re-release, would be probably too expensive to distribute another version of the film to wide release across the world.
  11. If Dunkirk had cost $200M you wouldn't be saying that. I don't quite know how they made that so cheap. Dunkirk was not a gigantuan hit on the same level as say Inception. But yes obviously all the tentpole films so far have been successes. Was anyone expecting this not to be a 150m+ type tentpole ? Judging by reactions on here...
  12. ANYTHING GROSSED BEFORE MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY IS OPENING WEEKEND! FACT! I remember a couple years ago there was one film that had 9 full days count towards its opening weekend, think it was one of the hotel transylvanias. amazing what bullshit the distributors pull when it comes to counting the numbers.
  13. none of the covers are particularly better than the originals but it especially bothers me when I hear the Rewrite the Stars cover on the radio because it's so much worse than the original, Zac Efron is miles ahead of whoever sings the cover.
  14. I think you have the wrong figure as it opened on a wednesday. 2hrek power cannot be underestimated.
