I think it will do somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 million next weekend.. is that a 60% drop?

I think it's already exceeded expectations, I would still be surprised if it makes over $340!!! that number just seems crazy... almost like the OW number... Did this really happen?

I'm guessing at this point THG will probably end up at $155 million when all is said and done.

I've been on my phone and unable to post... Feed me the crow, I'm flat out astounded by the Friday/Saturday number. Caught me way off guard and I was even apart of the hype machine (Reading the books, spreading the word, etc.)Regarding WOM: I have yet to talk to anyone in my area who watched it who hasn't told someone else that they HAVE to see it. So many people who haven't read the book have loved it. One guy at my work came in and said that's the first time he's ever stayed awake in a theater for an entire movie, him and his wife plan on seeing it again.I'm taking a group of 5 to see it today after church. This is the first movie to affect me mentally since The Dark Knight, and I'm a Potter loonie.

Out for right now with $11 million but if it gets a lot of crossover from Potter/Twilight as an event movie then I think it could get close to TDK

Not to say Chronicle was bad... I'm a big horror fan and a big naysayer of the found footage genre, so the fact that I liked Chronicle means a lot. I really wished I could have seen it in the form of a big Hollywood production...

I've seen both now and liked Woman in Black a lot better.

There's more than 1 tentpole film for every season. This year will definitely break records.

There's also people like me who wanted to see both so I watched WIB last night and will be watching Chronicle tonight.I know you all are wondering about this- there were definitely people in my theater that were big Harry Potter fans showing up with family and friends to see Woman in Black. Casting Radcliffe was a GREAT idea. I really enjoyed his performance as well.

Some people just detest horror, and to each his own, but this one is one of the few horror movies that takes you on a trip and leave an impression. I want to see it again if possible.

The Woman in Black was the best horror movie I've seen in years. My theater was full capacity for the 7:00 show. The audiences reaction was very very good, tons of screaming and a standing ovation at the end.

40% capacity for Woman in Black, probably headed for 75% capacity since there's 20 min to go and people are piling in.Any more reports on Chronicle?

If these awards weren't so popular we wouldn't care as much, I trust next years MTV movie awards over this crap.
