    This will be big in China, but it will have hard time cracking 90 million domestically. The movie will most likely leak out before US/WW release. Frankly, I don't like such kind of movies in which majority of the cast is Asian with 2-3 white folks. They stick out like a sore thumb. Should have been purely East Asian actors. There are more interesting movies coming out in November and December, so I will pass this.

    Civil War isn't old. Forgot about Dory, but tbh it isn't my cup of tea. I have yet to watch the original!

    I have to say the content on Neflix and TV is so much more satisfying than movies. They are doing genre stuff wayyyyyy better.

    This is going to be BIG. Will easily beat Assassins Creed and some more flicks releasing around Christmas.

    Nowadays, it does. People have lost the ability to make up their own mind. Always need to be spoon fed or validated.

    I thought this would get raves, but with the muted marketing and mixed reviews, this will struggle. Oh well. What a horrible year for sequels of old/long running movie franchises. They either were critical flops or box-office flops or both. Nothing knocked it out of the park.

    I thought it looked cool. I mean it isn't perfect, but I think that's the style they are going for... MK2 was okay. It had some nice moments, but still think they best is the the Stephen Chow one.

    I really liked the Japanese actress. If she doesn't return then this movie can go to hell. They probably will hire some chinese actors for boxoffice reasons, which will make this nothing but a money making exercise for 1 market.

    This is possibly my most anicipated prestige film of this winter. The best part is there is A LOTof amazing stuff coming out this fall/winter.

    It's kind of sad that a LEGO batman movie trailer is so much more fun and entertaining than all of the live action batman films put together. This will beat bvs at the domestic boxoffice.

    There is a reason why it costed so much. They did PLENTY of reshoots. Some studios actually care and invest lot of money to turn a crap into something decent or possibly great in order to avoid embarassment for themselves and the filmmakers. It also helps to have a good producer who can fight for more money to make things much better. Fox can learn a thing or two from paramount.

    Have you guys even seen the history of this franchise at the overseas boxoffice? They don't do well.

    I can see this pulling a Tarzan at the boxoffice. But it will do considerably better overseas especially in UK and Europe.

    Clearly, you need to work on your reading comprehension skills. It still was based on a BRAND called MARVEL. They have developed a trust with the audience so if the trailers+marketing is great, even a property never heard of can open to big numbers.

    Looks awesome!!!! The Kong is huge, the actors are great and the cinematography looks good. Man I wish Luc Besson had cut a trailer for Valerian, it would have made things much more interesting. Will give my ranks for all the trailers/footage that have been or will release today.

    Star Trek is historically a weak performer overseas, but I am hoping it beats ID2 worldwide. IA6 is doing poorly overseas. Will do less than half of the last movie.
