    This is done. Avatar 2 will not be anywhere close to Avatar in terms of reviews and boxoffice.

    That's why I say to temper expectations. All those 3-4 billion WW numbers floating around here was based on the assumptiom that it would get overwhelmingly positive reception by critics and all. It has failed to do so for whatever reason. And honestly, I am not seeing that positivity and excitement needed for this movie to truly breakout big time. I have doubts on is wom and legs as well. Won't be shocked if it does considerably less than expectations of certain folks.

    Anyone expecting this to top Avatar domestically, OS and worldwide, need to rethink.

    RT is going to be worse than first one it seems. First one started with a bang and dropped to mid 80s over the years. This is faltering out of the gate. Oh well. I will watch it but hype has taken a hit.

    I think even in India the admits aren't all good. Whatever it will make is because of high ticket prices. It will make 2B WW, but that's all. Admissions wise it will be way lower than first one.

    Wandering earth 2 in China - January 22 Pathan in India - December 25th and January 25 Both are big markets for Avatar 2. It will likely lose all the premium and imax screens to those local movies, so it will have to make bulk of its money in that 1 month time frame.

    Hahaha. Cavill will approach netflix and Witcher guys. I want them to say "fuck off". Will call Feige and probably get the role of Reed richards or Doom.

    Bombs away in China. I doubt will crack 100M let alone matching Avatar. Should have delayed the releaae date in China to Feb or March.

    They would have marketed if it was getting imax. It ain't. Pathan will take all the imax and 4dx screens.

    That chutiyah movie will not get 3d screens let alone imax. Indian cinema owners are not chutiyahs, I hope. Frankly, that movie needs to bomb hard.

    I find one poster here obnoxiously positive. Sometimes it sickens me. He did same thing during Alita.

    They should do a WORLDWIDE trailer launch across all major tv channels in all countries, including the one telecasting world cup matches. Best way to get maximum exposure. From there, constant bombardment of TV spots, posters, new details, interviews, world tour etc leading up to release.

    As long as it is the highest grossing movie worldwide this year, all is well. I no longer expect this to reach the heights of Avatar. Anyone expecting that or more is setting themselves up for massive disappointment. I am sure even James Cameron and Disney are just hoping to make enough profits on the next two to finish the 4th and 5th together.

    Everyone is assuming this will get great reviews, but let's not be so confident. Anything can happen. James Cameron has made so many statements in the last 13 years against certain things that critics are waiting to do some damage if they leve unimpressed after watching the movie.

    Louis got a nice payday, so he could careless if this bombs. He will still get to do stuff, as this was a favor he did for studios and producers by stepping in.
