Nah. Doom will be made a sympathetic villain. He genuinely feels that he is right and the world would be better if he is the one and only ruler. Basically, dictatorship vs democracy. It's just that, he will resort to any means to achieve that. The F4 on the other hand represent modernity, capitalism, democratic values etc. His personal beef with Reed is that besides being responsible for giving him a terrible scar is that he is always being the high and mighty while interfering in Doom's larger plans. This is what makes the rivalry interesting and Doom a much more cooler villain. He is just a misjudged ruler by the western nations. So yeah, I don't think marvel would make doom unlikeable from the get go.

I fully respect Marvel's decision. However, a black panther movie without tchalla? How are they going to explain his non-appearance in BP2? Something tells me that Doom will make his presence felt in this movie. Gut feeling.

Dune will flop if released theatrically. Was not going to do more than 400M worldwide in normal conditions. With 175M tag + 150M marketing + other expenses = bomb blade runner 2/tron/Alita style. Now, it has zero chance of doing even 300M ww because such sci-fi movies have zero appeal. KongvsG had potential, but last film was a flop. Terrible situation all around. Legendary should cut their ties with WB and ask netflix to buy them.

Man, for a boxoffice site, there are too many stupidos here. WB wasn't offered anything and has less stake in this whole monsterverse than Legendary Pictures. 70-75% of the budget of these movies is fronted by Legendary with their Chinese partners. Netflix has offered 200M to them and I bet they could use some cash, as the last movie was a flop and there is no guarantee this will make money in theatres. WB knows there is value of having something like this on HBO max, so they must have convinced legendary to not sell it to Netflix. Basically, stop blaming WB. It is legendary pictures that has the final say where and how this movie goes.
