well that's what happens when you go from 200M to 100M. Downgrade in every way possible...cheap visuals, cheap action, cheap story, cheap actors...yeah..Boyega ain't all that. After TFA, guy should have chosen something else..stupid. Will make money in China and some asian markets but boy quality wise I will be shocked if this gets even 50% on RT. If this beats Valerian critically then I know that critics are morally bankrupt. Commercially though, no one can beat Luc Besson's stupidity. -

I have no faith in the current fox marketing team to take this to 1.7+ billion worldwide let alone surpassing first one. JC will have to be actively involved in marketing and maybe hire a team just for that.

I was so right when I said long time ago that Kings 2 would do less than Kings 1 but many here were saying 140+ HAHAHA Jesus people don't understand pulse of the audience. Gone are the days that a sequel to a good movie will increase over the first one unless it was a phenomena or something. Even then there is no guarantee because you have to also see whether the first one peaked at the BO or not.

Pacific Rim works as a fun summer popcorn movie with some fun dialogues and comedic bits. Could have been so much more in the hands of a more accomplished director. GDT is best when he does small indie like personal films than these big budget studio movies.

I have a bad feeling about this. Cameron has worked with teenage and adult actors, but not with kids. We all know he can be extremely tough on his crew and cast. Kids tend to be unprofessional and hard to control. Not sure if his style will work with the kids because if he treats them like he has done with his actors in the past, things could get real ugly during the shooting. Won't be shocked if one of kids parents take him, fox and lightstorm to court. Cameron, my man, you will have to control your natural instincts on this one.

Directed by Daredevil season 1 show runner. But yeah...this is being done cheap. Boyega's career as a leading man will take a big hit after this except maybe China.

We know it's going to flop because of the gap..should have released in 2016 or early 2017.

Smart of WB. Fox can learn a thing or two from them. Kingsman 2 in February or even August would have done much better domestically. Next year Deadpool 2 will disappoint at boxoffice by dropping atleast 30M. I am expecting 50-60M drop. They should have locked a february release for it or better yet a December release so that legs would have been solid.
