    WW is loads of fun with a great performance by the lead, but it is not deserving of that 90+% RT rating. More like 60-70% RT. So ya other factors were at play for that movie to achieve what it did, which I won't get into.

    for that, they will have to buy Sony. Tom Rothman ain't gonna give up without a fight. He won't let Disney have it all unless there is something for him in it....like CEO of Disney after 2021!!!

    Marvel willains have been lame as hell....maybe thanos will be good...so if Doom is anything like those, I would be super pissed. I am hoping the fan 4 will be treated well and that Dr. Doom will be one of the best movie villains ever. Kevin has to do it to make up for the shit show fan 4 / doom fans have endured since 1994.

    Columbia should go to WB just for shits and giggles because that way WB gets Spiderman! Paramount to comcast. The question is what happens to that Terminator movie now??? Fox was handling overseas distribution on that...

    He is jinxed. Maybe he will direct a reboot of xmen or xforce if it happens for MCU/Disney.

    This is both good and bad for hollywood and general movie goers. Atleast I might now get to see a good representation of Fan 4 in MCU and possibly a good solo movie. Marvel/Kevin Fiege better make Dr. Doom the best ever villain in MCU and comic book movie/superhero movies in general. If he is turned into one of their lame type villains, I would be pissed and the purpose of getting F4 back at MCU would be defeated.

    James Cameron and fox knew that this deal will happen since 2014 or 2015, hence the delay in production of Avatar sequels. They might have been working with Disney in terms of scheduling of these movies.

    It beat local hero Luc Besson's French comic adaptation very easily. That has to be super embarassing for Luc and France.

    what a disaster of epic proprotions. American films will become more boring. Soon indie directors will have only Netflix and amazon as avenues for production and distribution.

    You liking a movie trailer or actual movie has never been a good sign...movie always ends up with mixed reviews i.e. rotten on RT (40-59%) and boxoffice flop/bomb. @That One Guyhas similar powers as well.

    I will be shocked if this does anywhere close to previous spidey flicks in India...animated and...sad but true. I for one am looking forward to this.

    Looks like a an awesome imax 3d ride with shit ton of cgi. I think it's a stylistic choice to make it video gamey rather than going for photo real or uncanny stuff. Unfortunately, such stuff doesn't appeal to general audience. I fully expect a 70-80% on RT because nowadays Spielberg's movies get a free pass. The boxoffice will be between 70-90M domestic as it is based on a popular novel and has lot of nostalgic stuff. Overseas could be anywhere from 250-350M.

    Why is fox greenlighting all these movies when they are going to merge with Disney? Shouldn't they put a hold on all projects and purchases except the 2018 releases and avatar films?

    I think Wes Ball is the most talented young vfx/action director working at present. Needs to be given a big comic book movie or star wars flick already. Star wars might fire him though...so..safe choice will be a MCU film. I would love to see what he does with a 200M budget.

    Eddie was great. He is developing an Elton John biopic as well. So clearly, he is in the business of making biopics of interesting Britishers. This will turn out just fine. Singer on the other hand....LMAO. Only China can save you now.

    looks and feels like a sequel alright. Was hoping that Bayona would bring some of his visual flavour. It's increasingly looking like directors have to do exactly what the producers of a franchise want. Nothing too different. More of the same with better vfx and set pieces. A good story is a bonus.

    i didn't. If we can make R rated 90-110M budget movies like Prometheus, covenant...then this can be as well. A GIANT SHARK is a bigger sell than boring ass and outdated xenomorphs.

Still will destroy that Predator movie, which I will watch in theaters if the trailers are any good and the movie any decent. Predators has a 70+% on RT and still couldn't set the boxoffice on fire. Same fate for the new big budget predator movie.

    Great to see that early buzz is very good. But I still feel it won't be reaching the heights of NATM1 and Chipmunks1&2. Star wars will suck away a lot of dollars. 175-185M can happen though.
