  1. This movie is aiming for a certain audience and you know what? It should do very well if the reviews are decent. I can totally see this being the surprise box office hit of the year...like 100+M domestic.
  2. Fant4stic. Josh Trank. Josh Boone. Remember Josh Boone at one point of time was Twitter buddies with Trank and I am sure got some inspiration from concept arts and stuff that Trank must have made for F4. Large portions of Fant4stic was reshot without the director's involvement but due to lack of time to complete the movie, they just hacked it to pieces and turned it into a giant mess. Should have just left it as it was. A 125+ minute sci-fi/body horror movie with some action, which frankly was better shot than what ended up in the movie. This movie is facing same problem now except it has more than 1 year to reshoot and complete the movie. In the end, it will turn out fine, but yeah I am expecting them to amp up the action part and lighten some moments or add some comedy. I wonder if Disney and Kevin saw this and was like....WoAh...need to tone down big time...if you want to keep this franchise going in Disney. Simon wants to be part of Disney/MCU going forward so yeah...
  3. Too late. Even if they do make it, can it be R rated like Red Sparrow? Lastly, I don't like the portrayal of the character in MCU.
  4. hahahahaha....Star wars is treated like utter crap in India and China. This should be enough to forge stronger ties between two nations.
  5. Commuter and Paddington 2 will be the big non-oscar bait hits of January.
  6. Funny thing is that there are some documented allegations against Walt Disney...imagine if he was living in this day and age...boy oh boy....
  7. So basically a 150+M budget looper.....sounds like a bomb on paper because Will Smith is no longer a draw for original films or movies based on obscure novels.
  8. Those who believe that sequels nowadays drop because of sins of last film are living in the mid 2000s. WOM/Hype on the previous film has nothing to do with the next film. General audience will watch a movie if there is something in the promotion that grabs them. That and good reviews.
  9. SO....this has like a 57% rating by moviegoers on rottentomatoes. Lol. I mean let's face it, critics/fanboys are star wars nerds so a decent star wars would get 80+% on rt. Hard to please general public. I hope I find it as awesome as my TFA and Rogue One experience. Both of which I gave 10/10.
  10. lmao. Some folks here were saying 2 years ago that the old star wARS movies actually were popular in india at the time of release. But even boxoffice trade sites say that they were huge flops. Star wars is considered tenth rate franchise in India. I remember star warS had a re-release in 1996. They had tie-ins with lays chips. Only I seemed interested in it. My first star wars experience was Return of the Jedi in Mayfair theatre of Hazrat Ganj lucknow. The only theatre in entire city that played all three original star wars films for 2 weeks each I believe. The owner was a huge hollywood buff. Now that theatre has closed down. How times fly.
  11. Termination fee is $ 2.5B (i.e. if feds block it, Disney pays Fox 2.5B).
  12. More like James Cameron has the mouse by its balls. Disney would hate to piss him off if he doesn't get the required money to deliver those jaw dropping effects.
  13. As if the U.S regulatory is clean...Disney will pay them to get the approval.
  14. Fox being fox, duped disney into believing that they get Fan 4. HAHAHA. Disney will have to co-work with Constantin or outright purchase the damn studio. LOL
  15. But it can't be just better OR similar to what we have gotten from MCU films. It has to be GRAND.
