  1. Also probably countering the "Madame Web" appearance in the marketplace; attempting to woo back anyone who's convinced that MW is actually part of the MARVEL STUDIOS' Marvel Universe on screen... 😁
  2. Kathleen Kennedy/Lucasfilm approves or more regularly seems to disapprove of every major decision that Star Wars filmmakers make, so no, this is all on Lucasfilm/and yes, Disney brass for somehow neglecting to achieve one of the most, if not THE most obvious reunion in popular film history...when they had all the actors attached and finally ready and willing.
  3. ...Which they were likely told to say by Marvel/Disney to keep the lid on this. He probably shows up in the third act/finale to help take on the Leader, Red Hulk, etc. It would truly be *really* bizarre to finally feature The Leader in a Marvel movie and *not* have the Hulk show up, at some point. Then again, Lucasfilm somehow didn't see fit to unite the original Star Wars cast on screen in any of those three films, so...
  4. Doubt Coppola has the money for that!! The film doesn't have any Distributors yet, I don't think... But a Cannes premiere looks likely, whether in or out of competition.
  5. If he comes back, he'll show up in something else first, part of an ensemble (a la other cameos/supporting planned for Superman: Legacy). Seems like Gunn is not shy about establishing a "universe" of characters up front -- he might even have a cameo in Legacy. Xolo saying "I can confidently say we'll see him soon" seems to indicate some confidence... Then again, Gal Gadot espoused the same type of quotes...and look what happened? 😁
  6. ...But he's still not signed... (I know, not the FF thread...)
  7. Why says this? If it's not in the trades, I'll have trouble buying it. "Scheduling is a factor" are the quotes I read...back in November(!) The latest delays are (apparently) for Screenplay changes...again (although this could be at Pascal's request, I suppose...)
  8. There's still time... 😆 Um...as far as I'm aware, he hasn't signed on, yet...officially ;-) (As in, being officially announced in the Hollywood Trades -- and sometimes even they are "wrong" or behind the eight-ball).
  9. And with what Universal did for Oppenheimer, it's overwhelming success ensures that Comcast/Universal will surely want to be in the Nolan business again as soon as he's ready. Warners (if they're even still the same entity) will have to have a pretty handsome offer to lure Nolan back so quickly. Not sure they can even afford him, anymore...they might have spent that capital on gaining Cruise.
  10. So does the Spice bring hair or cause hair loss when abused? I'm not quite sure of the message... 😁
  11. Agreed. I mean on not scoring a $100 mil. opening weekend. 😁 But I DO think it will have a longer, steady success via WOM at the box office. IF audiences respond to it more (Zendaya's bigger part and more epic battles will help).
  12. She will play out her Presidential loss in the public sphere until the end of her life, it seems...
  13. I'm all for support of Gerwig and Lee should-have-been nominated, but jeez... LET IT GO, Hillary.
  14. BIG NEWS... MUST-WATCH TV is back...at least on MONDAYS! https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/jon-stewart-daily-show-return-monday-1235885955/
  15. Six months (or less) for visual effects, post, and any needed reshoots! Should be great!
  16. Morales was of course a last-minute recast; Nicholas Hoult was originally cast and apparently couldn't make it work scheduling-wise (which, in this case, I actually believe was legitimate...because, who wouldn't want to work with/against Cruise? Once in a lifetime opportunity.)
  17. Please tell me this isn't the classic "Let's force the bad guy out a skyscraper window" and they're revealing the finale in a promo still? Wouldn't surprise me...
  18. "Meanwhile, in another universe..." 😁 Writing it off before it even gets released... 🤣
  19. Rothman knows film history quite well, tank you very much! 😁 From 2007 – 2012 Rothman wrote and hosted a television series, “Fox Legacy,” which includes almost fifty essays on the history of classic films. http://www.tomrothman.com/about/ (Don't know why I'm on a mission lately to angle support for Rothman...but the guy has earned his chops at SONY and I like to remind people that he has quite impressive career/lifetime accomplishments, despite his tortured history with FOX/X-Men fanboys...)
  20. Hmmm...yet again pushed back... And Hmm...well, perhaps because publicists were *told* not to... perhaps because it's still closer to 100% that Pascal will do The Mandalorian and Last of Us, and I'd say more like 75% doing Fantastic Four... nothing has been officially announced on FF casting, and I think there's a reason for that. Contract negotiations...and the other two or three unknowns being rumored are surely not the cause of the delays...
  21. And Gunn apparently also told Gadot "We're making Wonder Woman 3", so... people serve what best serves them. Yes, Cruise "returning" to Warner Bros. for a long-term deal only solidifies further that Paramount will be bought up soon...possibly by Warner Bros., themselves. Cruise may even be angling to ...wait for it... take over the Paramount label? If anyone can make blockbusters into their 70s, it will be Cruise...but seriously, I think at some point he'll bow out and become a (hopefully) nicer Les Grossman.
  22. That's too long. I want my money back for my pre-bought Madame Web popcorn bag! I only thought I'd have to endure 95 minutes of this! 😁
