The story is that Albert Pyun's original edit of Captain America was over three and a half hours...but I bet that most of that footage is lost... and he seems to have made his more recent "Director's cut" very hard to find, as well!
No real news, but more "speculation" and insider rumors that MGM as a whole is likely to be pawned off to new majority owners sometime soon...but even if it is, they don't think it will even go for $10 billion... The dreaded Amazon has apparently had "exploratory talks."
MGM, as always, denying everything...

But many American fans still see him that way...cemented further from the indelible cultural impact of the early Donner/Reeve films... and therein lies the dilemma.... Hugely complicated, actually. I can see why Warners remains frustrated.
Now if the movie were actually any good....imagine the numbers? I and many others would have probably looked at it a few more times...rather than just once. And runtimes are a factor here, as they mention. But...of course impressive, based on HBOMax's lower subscriber numbers then...and still.
More surprising is that THE OFFICE still remains so huge!! #3 😂
"We're holding out for a hero..."
"I never had sexual intercourse with that woman."
Two truths, one lie.
I wonder if those "insiders" happen to be paid Disney employees are stressfully told to stress otherwise...until things change?
I don't know...I'm amazed that WW84 wasn't stopped at the script stage, having now seen it...
"They landed in the Grand Canyon -- it's pretty abandoned, sir." Remind anyone of anything? 😅
I'm glad that Warner Bros./Legendary didn't worry about that thorny argument, at least...
How about we acknowledge that this is a Box Office Forum and not a #MonstersUniverse Fan Forum, and ideally everyone should be encouraged to fairly judge these products as released, including trailers and previous entries, on how they might "appeal" and produce business?
There's been clear mismanagement of this whole franchise from the bottom-up, and I think many agree on that.
And 'Morbius' as a character and property had been "in development" with New Line through the Blade franchise, then with Sony for years as a property... so it was the obvious first/second choice of Spidey-spin-offs out of the gate, after Venom.
Early negotiation tactics... it's "the final chapter of a trilogy"... until it isn't. Her initial contract "options" were probably for three films. It is funny that she's using those words, while Jenkins has already mentioned that she has a fourth movie in her head... It really will simply depend on how Film #3 turns out, and how the audience responds!
Who's saying she does? And even if she does indicate that... money speaks. Always has, always will... especially if she doesn't establish any other franchises.
Derrickson's Strange movie was a bore to me, so I'll have to disagree, here. I'd take a Raimi joint anyday over Derrickson. Having said that... yes, Raimi's OZ was a big bore, too! I'm hoping the plot here allows Raimi to play a little more, though... we'll see...
And they signed Patty Jenkins and Gadot right up for WW3. So someone was happy enough internally, I guess... but that doesn't mean everyone. 😂 Yes, of course they'll always talk up their yet-to-be-released product... pardon me if I just get a bit cynical after a few too many big studio disappointments! 😉
According to this new HBOMax promo, Eastwood and his movie are now also going simultaneous in theaters and on the app... You see him in there, and the title.
Yeah, like I've said... it will be released this year...one way or another. The Bond people, for instance, can hold that thing as long as they like -- they don't have a pipeline of releases that they're attempting to get rolling again, like Papa Feige is.
Regardless, it now appears that Warner Bros. is re-negotiating contracts and terms with all the top talent in their 2021 movies... so that tells us that they are acquiescing to industry demands.
"Creative" aesthetically/artistically -- in style, form, content, camera, editing. Absolutely nothing in WW84 is really "creative" other than perhaps the golden armor...and even that is not even utilized in creative ways that it could be.
