Theaters in Vietnam are still packed AF even though it's not holiday like yesterday.
You need to get ticket at least half a day in advance. A lot of people have to go home because of this (buying tickets in advance is still unusual in Vietnam)
Theaters near me keep adding weird showtimes like 23h55, 0h05, 0h15... to satisfy demand
I should have mentioned that today is public holiday in Vietnam so IW's OD is inflated.
Next Monday and Tuesday are also holiday. We'll see if IW can pass AOU's total gross by then
Most attended movie in Vietnam is Kong with less than 3M admision. Vietnam's population is ~ 93M so there's a lot of room to grow.
And we only dub animated movies for children
Kong is the 3 day OW record holder with ~2.75M OW.
5 day OW is F8 with ~3.1M
I don't have number for OD record
Edit: Just found previous OD record is also Kong's with 18.2B dong ~ $0.8M
So IW broke record by 40%. And IW opened on Wed instead of Fri as Kong which makes it even more insane
I say it has 90% chance to increase in Vietnam.
Pre-sale has just started and nearly all good seats for OD are gone. Noting that buying advance tickets is not common in Vietnam
