It'd be a serious step down actor-wise if they use the guy above. Either he's not the main villain or they're going to re-cast. Michael Keaton & Jake Gyllenhaal to this unheralded TV actor?
In case nobody remembers, the swine flu in 2009 infected millions and killed over 200 thousand people worldwide. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be concerned about coronavirus, but it puts things in perspective.
People root for what they think will be good, not what they think will be a success. I don't have high hopes for this movie, but many of us have high hopes for Dune, a scifi epic from one of the best working directors today.
It's a pretty good little movie, but also very indie with a fair amount of misery porn. Great examination of US opioid crisis and failing healthcare system.
Yaya was terrible in Aquaman, but this trailer makes me think he has some talent after all.
We'll see about the score/tone. Cinematography is certainly looking better than the original.
Just saw the thread title and laughed. Tim Miller is a poor man's Matt Reeves. He's had some success and he's not untalented, but all he does is adapt big IP.
I'm curious to see what the plot of the movie actually entails. Originally they were marketing it as a "rural poor conservative good guys vs rich elite liberal bad guys" conflict, which simply doesn't fly in the age of Trump. Now it seems like there might be more to it than that and the trailers are showing it.
I feel like I'm losing my mind...where the hell is the top 25 of 2019 thread? Can't even find it in my profile history. Like it's been wiped from the forum.
That's what I'm talking about. I like the Zombieland movies, but the guy doesn't deserve all these opportunities. He didn't deserve Venom coming off a long hiatus and the massive failure that was Gangster Squad.
