1. From "Is DS worth tracking?" to "DS >MK", the debate escalate quickly
2. Maybe it is time to consider which pair will make this happen
3. So MK and DS will be first test of if market can accommodate two big openers, by pandemic standard of course. So far I recall none of the weekend we have more than 1 movie debut to above 10m.
4. Some surprise and spoiler at the BAFTA. Frances Mcdormand won best actress; meaning all major awards gave best actress to different actress. GG: Andra, SAG: Viola, CC: Carey, BAFTA: Frances. Hopkins get best actor but I don't think this affect Boseman chance. Luckily Hopkins did win Oscar before, if not he will pose a major threat to Boseman. Best supporting actress race is getting clear and likely go to Youn Nomadland continues its sweep for Best Film and Best Director.

7. From Deadline, As expected, Warner Bros./Legendary’s Godzilla vs. Kong made up for its down second Friday (off Good Friday) with a super Saturday of $6.1M that was up close to 60% which makes the pic’s second weekend $13.3M, -58% for a running domestic total of $69.5M.

GODZILLA VS. 11. Funanimation was very efficient in making a gathering for anime fans, considering My Hero Academia wasn't really a huge record breaking international hit yet still managed to hit 5m opening, a similar number for DS shouldn't be something that too much to ask. The only downside is Canada's cinema closure. Ironically, a 5m opening would be some random small-hit in a normal world but with ongoing pandemic, even a 3m opening for DS , can make some headline-worthy news.
12. Seem like they still focus on the area where 50% is allowed
13. I can only assume such....seem like PWP for double digits grosser have been great. Maybe some spillover effect from last week since PWP and standard shows were selling hot No, the next batch will be on 23Apr.
14. WB reported 3.88m Fri for GvK. Although this is a much more solid number than we hoped, still I can't help but to get suspicious of the number. Based on the 8m weekday gross, I would assume 4 days midweek number would went something like 2.7 | 2.3 | 1.5 | 1.5, this would give Fri some 160% bump, which seem way too big based on the raw data you have. Is it possible WB fudge friday number?
15. We also have new info on tenet gross since its last publicly known gross was 57.9m. That 60m total also telling us, GvK made about 8m from Mon - Thurs

18. That could mean 60% from opening week, a beyond terrible holds, GvK may miss 100m total.
19. From the latest arrangement, I can tell Paramount is still isn't very confident with the box office market.
