I hope titanic could retain its position here....Just too much unnecessary backlash on this all time epic. I've watched hundred of films based on the recommendation from academy, IMDB, director picks and RT. Titanic is definitely a great film by any standard. The only reason I can tell about its hatred is the movie gone too successful especially commercially and way too female-centric. I hope BOT could restore what titanic supposedly deserved in the movie's history. Titanic, for your consideration.

Opps, I left out the lives of others in my german movie list, that was so great, I watched that film thanks to pan's labyrinth because I was so curious how a german film beat out pan's labyrinth in best foreign language film category when the odds was in pan's favour. After watching, immediately the film entered my all time top 100 list. As in the case of downfall, I can't put myself in a very serious position when went through some scenes, especially keep having a doubt of "Is the subtitle here correct?"

Any number of less than $2,187,463,944 would be a amazing run and satisfying run....

just like how inflation was in the non-sense level for 20 years....

I will still regard titanic as the highest grossing film of all time of brazil, USD75.6m with 17.7m admission. Both metrics are all time num1 in Brazil. Highest admission- Titanic Highest USD gross- Titanic Highest LC gross- IW 2 vs 1 , titanic prevail

I was really confused about they calculate the weekend gross. Captain America opened to 200m OS ,including wednesday +thursday, and made $95m 3 days OS weekend in its 2nd outing(I removed the new opening from its 2nd weekend gross, i.e 217m-china, italy, russia and etc and get 95m) From that figure....Cap america 3 dropped 53% from 2nd weekend(fri-sun) from 5 days opening(Wed-Sun). On the other hand, IW had 383m 5 days opening vs 2nd weekend(3 days)- 145m(-Russia).Apply the CW's calculation, the drop is 62%

That is my 2nd german movie, and I glad i found the best in the 2nd outing...... The 1st was downfall, but the never ending Hiltler parody diluted the experience of viewing...

Seriously, I doubt superhero cannibalization will happen like during civil war vs x-men, and thor 3 and JL. Those are like PG-13 battle and even their story tone/style was kind of similar. While Deadpool 2 is R-rated, we have no record saying that superhero's PG-13 and R can't be coexist. Anyway, I need deadpool 2 now desperately....

As for as I admire IW's record breaking run, I want IW to drop right now to secure my Titanic position at num2 WW. that saturday's number kind of relieve to me, not because it is bad, just because it prove the legs of this one will be standard, no more TFA's insane legs

That drop is a bit harsh given that SK, one of its biggest market, only had 44% weekly drop on friday..... It must be a much more worse drop from other market to give 58% drop overall

My Titanic is safer with that standard drop from IW.....still, it's under challenge..... Everything is now on China, anything more than 450m will spell a doom on Titanic

fanboys bait film features 1) Complex plot/Smart Plot/Unpredictable Plot 2) Established Star/ Director Power(Nolan, Tarantino, Scorsese, Tom hanks, Daniel day-lewis, Harrison, Nicholson) 3) Specific genre(Sci-fi/Black comedy/War Epic/Crime), ultra-male centric(braveheart/Gladiator) ,brotherhood I do agree many above are actually the characteristic of great films, but they are not the sole metric, art and storytelling is a very dynamics medium and they exhibit in different form. Try to to standardize the parameter like a swimming match or any others sport game

It's strange to see weather can have that big impact in european countries, In Southeast Asia, weather will have zero impact to theater going.
