  1. Having lots of friends is time consuming, I've let many friendships fizzle away because circumstances have changed. It's not that I didn't like them, it's that we weren't close enough to stay in contact.
  2. chinese or indian.. first to respond chooses my takeaway
  3. I wish that was the case! It's later next year I'll have to wait to right. Jim is pretty confident in this release, an extract from an interview below where he discusses the Avatar release dates.
  4. I'm bringing balance to the force! Just the perspective of a rival, to me TFA performed incredibly domestically and TLJ underperformed to expectations.. not really controversial opinion I would hope. edit: that club is 23 months away
  5. This is going to be a club, I'm not sure when I'm allowed to make it (baumer insight would be helpful here) but a worldwide A1&2 vs Prequel Trilogy.
  6. If by all time you mean the from the past to 2 years from now. Extend that 2 years by another 2 years and guess what? Not the highest grossing trilogy of all time any more.
  7. So what you're saying is that you're impressed that TFA made so much money that TLJ is able to perform so badly in comparison and still make a bunch of money? I mean.. to each their own I guess.
  8. Box Office Mojo is like the holy bible on this site, guess that means Avatar's a franchise right?
  9. What time does this start, it's 10pm here and I'm already feeling tired.
  10. I think it's time everyone stops using the ANH/ESB comparison it's from completely different era.Try picking films from this century, from this era of blockbusters (the franchise/sequel era). I'm going to list high grossing film sequels which were within 5 years of the original. The TPM to AoC drop seems to be an anomaly, probably because of the quality of these films. They were both received very poorly. Shrek (2001) and Shrek 2 (2004), $484m to $920m. The Avengers (2012) and Age of Ultron (2015), $1.51b to $1.41b. Spiderman (2002) and Spiderman 2 (2004), $822m to $784m. Sorcerer's Stone (2001) and Chamber of Secrets (2002), $975m to $879m. Toy Story (1995) and Toy Story 2 (1999), $374m to $497m. Fellowship of the Ring (2001) and Two Towers (2002), $869m to $923m. Ice Age (2002) and Ice Age Meltdown (2006), $383m to $661m Hobbit Journey (2012) and Hobbit Smaug (2013), $1021m to $958m Thor (2011) and Thor TDW (2013), $449m to $645m. Iron Man (2008) and Iron Man 2 (2010), $585m to $624m. Batman Begins (2005) and TDK (2008), $373m to $1.00b Transformers (2007) and Revenge of the Fallen (2009), $710m to 836m Pirates Black Pear (2003) and Dead Man’s Chest (2006), $654m to $1.06b I’m not even cherry picking here, every damn franchise is proving my point. Why are we comparing The Force Awakens to A New Hope? I know TFA was a rehash of it but give me a break, different eras people.
  11. "STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI hit $1.205B this weekend--the 13th highest-grossing worldwide release in the history of the known galaxy. " has this guy been reading my posts?
  12. www.avatar.com has loads of new content worth checking out. https://www.avatar.com The historian one is good, gives an insight into Pandora. 'serpent heart hid with a flowering face?’ That’s Pandora. Gorgeous and deadly.
