  1. Can we take a moment to ask why they chose Rian Johnson, a man whose never made a good movie in his life, to take on a Star Wars sequel. 3 mediocre movies: Looper, Brick and The Brothers Bloom. You're shooting yourself in the foot here, why on earth didn't they take on a more accomplished director whose got some good movies under their belt. Also why wouldn't they write the scripts for all 3 movies together if they're already planned?
  2. Perhaps this proves that online ratings are from the most vocal fans, plenty of imdb ratings are out of touch with reality. Perhaps this explains The Force Awakens cinemascore
  3. Weird, I wonder why it's RT audience score is so low when TFA's was so high. I think maybe because TFA was the first Star Wars in years they liked it? Also I revised my $208m OW to $198m.. looking like a big mistake. I'm thinking below Jurassic World - World Wide is actually the most probable outcome as of now.
  4. $198m OW $650-$720m DOM $763-$845m Overseas $1413-$1565m World Wide 46% Dom. 54% Overseas. Values above based on non disclosed highly accurate projections made by my naturally born non-artificial intelligence. Star Wars Film Rankings. #1. A New Hope #2. Return Of The Jedi #3. Revenge of the Sith #4. The Empire Strikes Back #5. The Phantom Menace #6. Attack Of The Clones //////... heart and soul lost ...../// #7. Rogue 1 #8. The Force Awakens
  5. It's certain now, but I reckon they would have been strong-armed by Jim. Disney hates nothing more than losing money.
  6. I updated a score after the deadline, did I void my weeks predictions or did it lock what was saved at the time of the deadline?
  7. Honestly if you think the numbers I'm throwing are just a joke, then perhaps you should throw out your prediction and then we see whose the fool in 2020. My current estimate is $3.7b world wide.
  8. proportional closer to the real total than the AJG's original $600m prediction.
  9. Then obviously that was enough Star Wars for them, they left wondering what the hype was about.
  10. Who really knows if the quality of films with decline or incline from this, because that's what really matters. I want new films what make me feel things, things I like to feel or feelings I've never felt before. If we narrow the perspective to Avatar though... to be honest. GIVE ME THAT INFLATED CRITIC SCORES GIVE ME THOSE TV SPOTS AFTER TV SPOTS GIVE ME THOSE PANDORAN VEGETABLE PACKAGINGS GIVE ME THAT DISNEY QUEEN NEYTIRI GIVE ME $4 BILLION DOLLARS WORLD WIDE
  11. not here to talk about Avatar! besides Avatar and Titanic are examples of what good WOM looks like.
  12. Go ask a mom who went to see it with her kids what she thought of it. This is where you find true WOM. Your life has been a star wars echo chamber and everyone you know has been a part of it.
  13. YES, YES, YES, YES. This is what I've been telling people for 2 years, the film was average to the general audience. Internet polls are ALWAYS biased towards star wars, the true opinion of the film can't be found on imdb or rotten tomatoes.
  14. Seems solid but shouldn't the previews have the smallest drop, as the die hard fans don't disappear.
  15. Bad WOM on EP7 ???? But the US critics and the majority of posters on here told me it was fantastic?!
