  1. Are you sure? I don't get the sense that people think Sully is a must-see.
  2. Hands down my favorite Pixar movie. They pull off the narrative juggling act extraordinarily well, being accessible for all audiences.
  3. I think I figured out my problem with this movie. It seems to assume that the audience will get behind saving the earth and redeeming humanity just because you're a human who lives on Earth. But these humans and this earth? Personally, I say fuck no. Cut back to Wall-E , please.
  4. Before November 8: "La La Land is the perfect escape from this shitty election season!" Now that Trump is President-Elect: "La La Land is the fantasy we need to escape from a Trump America!" If Hillary Clinton won: "What better way to celebrate the vanquishing of Donald Trump than by watching La La Land?"
  5. Honestly, I'll have a bit of a grudge against this movie if it causes the Zootopia sequel to come out in 2027.
  6. http://www.vulture.com/2016/11/lin-manuel-miranda-making-a-secret-disney-film.html Who knows what's going to happen here.
  7. What's there not to like about it? Did you like the original?
  8. Now he wants an easy paycheck. Been working hard for the past 20 years.
  9. I've made like 3 posts about South Park here. I don't even hate Trey Parker.
  10. Trey Parker is a confused middle age man who wants an easy paycheck. How wouldn't they get him on board?
  11. I've been doing all sorts of stupid shit online for the past 5 fucking years. Haven't done it in one spot, though. Don't know if that's better or worse.
  12. I think that it was actually Rio that stole that thunder. https://www.theodysseyonline.com/newt-pixars-cancelled-movie
  13. @chasmmi The movie that killed a Pixar project? Are you sure you're not thinking of Rio? Yes, both Rango and Rio came out in Spring 2011 and have similar looking posters, but they're not the same movie.
  14. That would be a huge mistake, in my opinion. Leaving Los Angeles would alienate many employees, and the movies would suffer.
  15. I think that DWA will stay in California. If they lose Dreamwork's human capital, there was no point in buying the studio. But if they stay in California, I think the budgets are staying above $120m. It's not like the French studio, where they pay shittier wages.
  16. I want to speculate about the future of Dreamworks Animation now that it's a subsidiary of Universal. We know that Croods 2 is cancelled, which probably disappoints a lot of people. But with the news that Dreamworks is only making one movie a year, I think that Chris Meledandri wants to widdle down Dreamworks to one single studio, much like Pixar or WDAS. Less sprawl, more focus. I even think they'll keep their larger budgets as well.
  17. Ferdinand is not a Dreamworks movie, so it's probably fine.
